It's the small things that count - Our guide Christina was a delight. She gave interesting details about what we were about to see and then from there we did it by ourselves, on our own pace. We started at the Korinth Canal for 20 min the went to Mycenae which had a bit of uphill walking but doable. Naplfio was such a charming town. I bought sandals that were hand made from one of the little shops. They also made a pit stop at a little mom & pop olive oil store. The smaller the batch, the better the quality. The nice lady had a little spread so we could sample the goods. This tour was definitely worth it. We got to spend a whole day at these amazing historical locations and be able to see the pretty countryside.

Peloponnese Past and Present - Great combination of past and present. The Mycenae and Epidaurus sites were unique, and Napfolion was a perfect stop in between.

Great tour, recommended! - Very nice hike, the trip was pleasant. We visited a lot of places starting from the isthmus of Corinth, to the tomb of Agamemnon , passing through Mycenae and ending in Nafplio. Our guide, Nicco, was very prepared and fun, it was very pleasant to spend the day with him!

A great way to visit... - A great way to visit Mycenae. The guide was very knowledgeable and explained everything succinctly. While I would have loved to have spent more time in Epidaurus, everything else went smoothly.

Straightforward day trip out of Athens - This is the most straight forward day trip tour I've taken. Drive out of the city center with traffic and first rest stop to look at a scenic dam is around 2.5 hours or maybe a bit more. The tour guide takes you into Mycenea and after around an hour, there is only a 15 min self exploration time that is really just a bit of extra walking and a quick restroom break. The lunch at Nafplion was nice. It's a seaside town with little narrow streets and a good gelato spot recommended by the guide that offered pretty good value. Just a note, if you BUY the inclusive lunch, it is a bit awkward. They seat the purchasers in groups and make everyone share the bread and starter salad. It forces some interaction but in some groups it could also cause social anxiety or awkwardness due to different languages, etc. also the included lunch is a preset menu with only 3 entree options, and when I was there the fish dish literally ran out after myself and 2 others ordered it. The ONLY benefit of the included lunch is that it is prepaid and quicker and likelier less expensive than dining elsewhere. For me, free time is important so the quicker meal was worth it. Lastly, the Epidaraus theater is the last stop and it's also 1 hour and 15 minutes. It's enough time to see it. Then it's a straight drive back to the city without a break and you end in Athens back at around 6:15 PM.

Overall a good tour, but we were dropped off away from the city center in Nafplion. - It was a wonderful tour overall, and we enjoyed it for the most part. The tour guide was friendly and professional, provided a lot of information. However, we do have one complaint. At Nafplion, the tour-guide should have taken us the city center where we could have more restaurant choices and walk around the old town. Instead, we were dropped off far away from the city center.

The monuments visited... - The monuments visited are certainly worth seeing. Unfortunately there was no possibility to buy in the package the entrance to the theater of Epidaurus and almost everyone who wanted to enter had to buy the ticket at the time. It was not a problem as there was no line at the ticket office, however the ticket, which costs 20 euros, allows you to see other ruins around that, for reasons of time, we could not see. The theater is worth seeing, but the expense is high so it would be preferable to spend more time in the area.

Almost perfect... - It was a full day tour. We went to a few places, had some free time to shop and look around. What I did not like is that we did have a tour guide with us in the bus only. She would give us a little head up in the bus about the destination but would not go on site to tell in more details. She would just sit in the cafe and wait for us to return. It would be better to have her on site as well, she was sitting doing nothing anyway. In my opinion, of course. I would skip this tour if I had another chance to go.
