Meteora is absolutely... - Meteora is absolutely wonderful - so beautiful and worth the long drive back and forth from Athens. The company has good drivers and comfortable buses. All in all, the road was much easier (and very scenic) than expected. Our tour guide Maria was fun and knowledgeable. She did everything she could to help us and answer questions. Highly recommended!

Meteora is MUST tour if you visit Athens - I visited Meteora on the very next day after arriving at Athens as I would not like to miss it by any chance. It was the most wonderful experience in Greece. The meteora mountains and caves and the monasteries were simply too good to see and cannot be explained in words. The structures at those peaks that were built long back are really wonders. It was a long day as the tour starts at 8AM and it returns back to starting point at midnight. The journey each way was 6 hours because of farmers strike. It seems to happen often. The journey route is beautiful. It may be recommended to make it a 2 day trip to make it more relaxing and more rewarding. Unfortunately I did not have so much time and I wanted to cover many places in 4 days.

Meteora! A beautiful must visit location while in Greece. - Meteora is a fantastic destination to visit. This tour was very well organized. Getting There: Theres a 4 hour drive from Athens thats broken down in 2 segments with a 30 minute break at the 2 hour point. The bus ride is comfortable and manageable even with kids. Lunch: The lunch is a buffet and sufficient for everyone. Lots of options and a decent meal (Pasta/Fried Fish/Moussaka/Chicken/Greek Salad). Dont expect a michelin star meal but it's great for the price paid. Meteora: This place is magical. All of the monasteries we visited were just incredible. We saw some truly amazing structures and got some beautiful pictures. The tour stops at additional photo op points as well. Guide: We had Clement from Canada as our guide and he was such a wonderful story teller. He even had the kids engaged in learning about the history/ geography and background of the place. Additional Remarks: It takes away a whole day. We were unfortunately affected by the Farmers Strikes which blocked many portions of the highway to get there. These detours caused delays to our overall tour. However they did not cut short our tour or skimp on showing us less sites. They still took the time for us to see all the places.

Beautiful but long day and big groups - Stunning views and really unique, but a really long day. I went on 18 January and the farmers' strike was still going on, as evidenced by large parts of the highways blocked by parked tractors. This increases travel time to 5 hours one way, and the organisers would have known this but did not provide any warning about it. Also, group size was 34, not 15, as indicated in the ad. It didn't matter so much because you get to explore the monasteries on your own anyways, but I don't like false promises. Our guide, Clement from Canada, was very enthusiastic and energetic. Overall worth it, but be prepared to only get back to Athens late.

Good trip with some nice entertaining knowledgeable guide Clement - Trip to monasteries was really good. However the journey from Athens is a very long and tiring one. Other than this the guide Clement was really good in giving insights about each monastery.

Simply breath-taking - This is a great way to visit Meteora if you're visiting Greece just for a handful of days. The tour guide Clement was very attentive and energetic, and a special shout out to our driver Tassos! The views are breath-taking, and I regret that I couldn't spare at least two days for Meteora - a few hours surely isn't enough. This review gets 4/5 stars because my original tour got cancelled due to technical (bus) difficulties. Luckily, it got swiftly rescheduled as I had another day to spare. Thank you for the tour operators for taking care of the situation and swift responses.

Can't say enough about... - Can't say enough about our tour guide Clement. Not only knowledgeable but very charismatic and passionate about the monasteries. Great sense of humor as well. This place is a must visit. The lunch was done cafeteria lunch line style and was delicious. Very spacious dining area and super efficient. It's advertised as 4 hours there and back but we ran into traffic on the way back to Athens so we got back somewhat late. Didn't bother me; simply a heads up. My only regret was that I didn't make arrangements to stay at least a day to check out the town.
