My spectacular journey to Delphi - My very first day in Greece could not have gone any better. After a very long flight I was apprehensive about starting on a group journey to Delphi. It was a spectacular success from the comforts of the transport coach and its experienced driver to the enthusiastic explanations of our guide. The vistas are smashingly beautiful. I am glad I chose the complete package to include lunch with tickets to the site visits.
The company did make unexpected schedule changes a few days before the original plan. So it would be wise to take this into consideration to perhaps allow for some flexibility in the overall trip plans. In my case the change didn’t detract from the experience.

There is alot of stairs... - There is alot of stairs to the top. The view of the valley is awesome. The museum was really interesting.

Greek Countryside - We took this tour to get out of Athens for a day. Vickie made the tour interesting with history and culture and stories of the characters of Greek mythology.

Delphi-A Scenic Wonder - This was a fabulous tour through a mountainous region to Delphi. Spectacular views. Our guide, Jordan, was extremely knowledgeable and was gracious in answering many questions.
He was as good through the ruins as in the museum.
The ruins, were a look back in time we can only imagine . There was alot of steep climbing, but with the right shoes (good runners), it was no problem. I'm 70, and I could keep up with the rest. I had been doing alot of walking, to prepare for these climbs....a huge help, and a huge recommendation.
Well worth the money.
Lunch was amazing!

Strongly recommended - Very enjoyable day in Delphi. Nancy was a great guide full of information expressed both on site & on the long drive. Loved listening to her. Delphi is a place that needs to visited more than once. She perfectly provided what we needed on our first trip. Strongly recommend the tour. FYI Amalia restaurant was excellent.

Great tour but beware of the pick up and drop off process. - The pluses. Delphi itself was amazing to see. The area is beautiful. With respect to the tour itself. Our driver did an amazing job. Our tour guide was excellent. Our meal was abundant to say the least. Basically, all you could eat and it was very good.
The minuses. Traffic in the area was "very" slow moving. The pick up and drop off for this tour needs some work. We were picked up on one bus, moved to another bus and we did a lot of sitting and waiting in the process. When you have a 50 seat bus, offering individual pick up and drop off may be convenient for some, but for most it means spending an extra hour on the bus. That is the reason I gave it the rating I did.

Underwhelming - We’d heard that Delphi was a must-see for our trip to Athens, but thought the area was underwhelming, especially compared to our guided tour of the Acropolis. The drive was lovely, through interesting mountains and countryside, and the guide did her best when she didn’t have any technology (all the other tours used a headset and receiver to be able to hear the guide’s voice) to speak to us as we were walking through the ruins and museum, but most of us couldn’t hear what she was saying.
