• Propylaea - The Propylaea served as the grand entrance to the Acropolis of Athens, commissioned by the Athenian leader Pericles to rebuild the Acropolis after the Persian Wars.
• Parthenon - This architectural masterpiece embodies the pinnacle of human spirit and creativity, eagerly awaiting the return of its renowned sister marbles.
• Erechtheion - The Erechtheion is an ancient Greek temple on the Acropolis’ north side, dedicated to Athena and Poseidon.
• Temple of Athena Nike - This temple on the Acropolis is dedicated to Athena and Nike. Built around 420 BC, it is the earliest fully Ionic temple on the Acropolis, located on a steep bastion at the southwest corner. Unlike the walled Acropolis sanctuary, the Victory Sanctuary was open, accessed from the Propylaea’s southwest wing and a narrow stair on the north. The bastion’s walls were protected by the Nike Parapet, adorned with a frieze of Nikai celebrating victory and honoring Athena and Nike.
• Theater of Dionysus - This ancient Greek theatre in Athens is on the Acropolis’ south slope, originally part of the sanctuary of Dionysus Eleuthereus. The first orchestra terrace was built in the mid- to late-sixth century BC, hosting the City Dionysia. The theatre reached its peak in the fourth century BC under Lycurgus, with a capacity of up to 17,000, and was used continuously until the Roman period. It fell into decay during the Byzantine era and was restored in the nineteenth century.
• Herod Atticus Odeon - The Odeon of Herodes Atticus is a stone Roman theater on the Acropolis’ southwest slope, completed in 161 AD and renovated in 1950.
