Terrific Birthday Party Adventure! - I arranged this tour as a 21st birthday present for my son and two of his friends who are studying in Athens this semester! They said it was a “10/10” night and a great way to experience the city. They went to great spots they would not have known about and the food was excellent. The guides were friendly and awesome. Huge hit!

Fun way to explore the... - Fun way to explore the city with someone who lives there. The wines and food were presented by knowledgeable people providing insights that won't come out of a guidebook.

Great induction to Athens & its amazing food! - We joined this tour just three hours after landing in Athens. It was a great induction to the city and its sights, sounds, smells, and of course, tastes! Our guide, Maria, was very welcoming, personable, and fun to hang out with. The other people in our tour group were at the tail end of their vacation and didn’t get as much out of it as we did. I would definitely recommend the food tour as the first activity you do when you land, even the same day if you can manage it.

Amazing food across various local spots - AMAZING! Such a great experience. Our tour guide picked out amazing choices for us. I’ve done different food tours in various countries and this one was by far the best. We talk about this food tours often. The food was delicious and we saw a different side of Athens. She seemed to take us to all the local spots in the city. This food tour included full meal portions vs a small bite like some other food tours.

Food and wine in Athens - Wonderful way to spend an evening in Athens. Our guide Eleni was great, more like an old friend showing us around town and her favorite foods and wines. Highly recommended

A perfect introduction to Greek food and wine. - Eugenia was the perfect guide. A passion for both Greek history and culinary delights. The meal was incredible. The olive oil tasting was a unique experience as was the wine tasting. All hosts were very hospitable and engaging. I thoroughly recommend this tour as a perfect introduction to Greece.

Don’t miss this tour - Our tour was fantastic! Maria was extraordinary guide. She shared stories and history of Greek food and traditions. Took us to spectacular wine bar, olive oil store, restaurants and had us taste some of the best food, I am not a very fast walker and I was able to keep up with the tour. Highly recommend any tour with Greek me.

Our guide sorely lacking - We love food tours in new cities to learn from a local about the history of the area and to learn where to go and where not to go for meals, shopping, sightseeing, etc. We like them because it marries food with history and we find that is a great way to get to know a city. This tour was worthy of the 3 stars only because our guide was probably one of the worst we have had- and we have done food/wine tours in London, Rome, Amsterdam, Paris, New York, Florence, Venice, Avignon, and Barcelona. She was very cordial and kind. However when it came to sharing history about various sights that we passed, she was sorely lacking. For instance, we passed by one small church that a modern building had incorporated into itself and we were all wondering what it was- she kept on walking. Or she would tell about something to the folks that were near her at the front of the pack but if you were in the back, you missed out. Good tour; good food; we went back to HoeCut for lunch one day; we bought some wonderful olive oil at one of the stops. The meal at the end was good as well, although we had to choose from a scaled down menu. Guide- not so good; therefore, we missed out on a large part of the tour.
