Excellent tour with a wonderful guide! - We thoroughly enjoyed our walking tour with Nikki. We were worried that the standard tours would be a little too hard to follow for our 7 year old so we chose this tour that is aimed at families and we didn't regret it at all. Nikki built fun age appropriate activities and games into the day and she didn't mind that we weren't fast paced walkers or that my son interrupted with his own facts and myths. My son was a big fan and has since said many times that he really enjoyed the tour and that Nikki was the best guide ever.

Bianca is the best! - This is hands-down, one of the best tours we’ve ever done! Bianca highly educated our family and made learning fun. We were able to see many of the most important monuments and ruins in Athens while playing games and even stop for a refreshing beverage. Our two daughters, ages 11 and 8, were able to easily walk in the heat because Bianca made sure to find shaded spots and knew exactly where to go to cool off if we needed to. Both of my daughters said this was the most fun they’ve ever had on a tour. Bianca made this an unforgettable experience for us. We highly recommend booking this tour with her!

- We had an incredible 4-hour walking tour with Ellie at the Acropolis and Parthenon! Despite the heat, Ellie was amazing at finding us shady spots while sharing fascinating stories and historical insights about each monument. She made everything so engaging and brought the ancient world to life — this tour quickly became one of the highlights of our trip.
Ellie was friendly, helpful, and incredibly knowledgeable. We especially enjoyed our little break together for a cold drink, where we had the chance to learn more about Greece and about Ellie herself. It felt personal and genuine, which made the experience even more special.
I’ve already recommended this tour company, Be A Greek, to friends and family. If you’re visiting Athens, especially the Acropolis, having a guide from Be A Greek is an absolute must.

Great for families. Informative and interactive - Effie was awesome. 4 and 6 YO boys enjoyed her games, stories and interactive tour. Highly recommend as an optimal way to see Athens most famous tourist destinations.

Excellent way to introduce family to Athens - We did the early afternoon tour with Nicki and it was perfect. The guide provided a great overview of Ancient Athenian life as we walked around several sites. It was a fun way to experience the sites rather than just walking around them on our own. It was both informative and relaxed sort of tour, perfect for those with kids. We took frequent breaks in the shade, where our guide was ready with interesting questions and activities that were age appropriate and kept my son engaged while we rested between walks. It was a great way to see some of Central Athens too as we walked the streets to make our way to each ancient site. We highly recommend!

HIGHLY recommend!! - We absolutely loved this tour! I booked it with my sons, age 9 and 11. It was very hot and they were fighting jet lag but Nicki was amazing at engaging them & explaining various parts of Athens history. The games & activities also made it much more fun & interactive for the kids. 10 out of 10, highly recommend, especially if you are traveling to Athens with kids!!! Thank you Nicki!!

A Magical Journey Through Ancient Athens: Niki Makes History Come Alive for All Ages - We cannot recommend Niki highly enough as a tour guide for the Ancient Athens for Kids tour! She was absolutely excellent with our daughter, who took to her immediately and even held her hand for much of the 4-hour tour. What impressed us most was Niki's ability to balance engaging our young child while still providing fascinating information for the adults. She came prepared with numerous interactive games throughout the tour that kept our daughter keenly interested in all the historical sites we visited. Her knowledge of ancient Athens was comprehensive and she presented it in ways that captivated every age group in our family. We loved our time together exploring Athens with Niki and will cherish the memory of this tour for our entire lives. If you're traveling to Athens with children, Niki's tour is an absolute must!

Great tour for kids - We just went on this tour with Be a Greek - led by Niki. We had a BLAST! I have two children who are sometimes difficult to entertain, and get easily distracted. They were engaged, involved, and loved the learning experience. Their favorite part, of course, was the games Niki had for them. My younger child said it was the best tour they have been on while traveling. We would highly recommend this experience - it’s definitely worth the cost!

Amazing Athens Tour for Kids - Our family loved the 4 hour private walking tour. Our guide was fun, patient and knowledgeable. We learned a lot but also enjoyed playing games and having ice cream and coffee.
