We will explain the history of its construction and the phases by which it became a church during the Byzantine period and a mosque during the Ottoman occupation.

We will learn about its decoration and looting up to the restoration work in force.

• Propylaia - Monumental entrance built entirely of marble to impress the pilgrim of the time and the tourist today.
  Due to its strategic position, the Propylaea functioned as a funnel in times of war thanks to its impressive topography.

• Temple of Athena Nike - A true architectural jewel built on the monumental entrance in honor of the goddess Athena Victorious. • Erechtheion - It is without a doubt the most photogenic monument in the entire Acropolis thanks to its marvelous female-shaped columns, the Caryatids.
  Built right next to the Parthenon, it was consecrated to various divinities including: Athena, Poseidon and Erectios, the latter for being the first mythological king of Athens.

• Herod Atticus Odeon - We will visit the famous Herod the Attic Auditorium with a capacity of 5,000 spectators built by one of the most renowned Roman governors in Athens. Dedicated to his wife Regina, it is today the only fully restored ancient building in use.
  It is here that the most outstanding performances take place every year during the famous festival of Athens.

• The Temple of Asclepios - Temple dedicated to the god of medicine Asclepius.
  Right in this space we will learn how the ancient Athenians cured patients and the types of votive offerings they gave as thanks.

• Theatre of Dionysus - One of the oldest theaters in the world built entirely of marble.
  With an incredible capacity of 17,000 spectators, its chosen space on the slope of the Acropolis itself managed to guarantee the maximum desired acoustics.
  It is in this space that the famous works of Euripides, Aeschylos, Sophocles and Aristophanes were presented for the first time.
