Awesome ancient site - awesome guide - Getting to the Acropolis looks challenging, but our marvellous guide Maria, provided many stops under the olive trees to tell stories in the shade making it totally manageable and informative. We loved her sense of humour, the way she integrated ancient history with modern life, and her gracious management of our group on a crowded day. Adding the museum was well worth it - highly recommended. We learnt so much - thank you !

An Unforgettable Journey Through Ancient Athens - If you visit Athens and do only one thing, make it this Acropolis tour — and if you’re lucky enough to have Aphrodite as your guide, you’re in for something truly special. The small group format made all the difference. There was space to linger, to ask questions without feeling like you were holding anyone up, and Aphrodite welcomed every single one. No matter how specific or off-the-cuff the question, she had a thoughtful, detailed answer. The Acropolis Museum was a highlight in its own right, and having a knowledgeable guide made the exhibits come alive in ways that a self-guided visit simply couldn’t match. The context Aphrodite provided helped connect what we were seeing in the museum to what we’d experienced up on the rock itself — a seamless, layered experience. The pacing was comfortable, the group was small enough to feel personal, and there was never a sense of being rushed. This is the kind of tour that reminds you why guided experiences can be so much more rewarding than going it alone. Highly, highly recommend. Book it, and ask Aphrodite.

Good experience, would recommend - Effie was a good tour guide who brought the myths of the gods to life and wove the stories into the history of the temples and aspects of the acropolis. We were impatient to get to the parthenon so it is good to know beforehand that 1.5 hours is spent discussing the theatre and other temples on the lower levels before actually reaching the top of the acropolis and the parthenon. You then have the final half hour discussion about the parthenon and the temple of athena before having free time to explore the rest of the site at leisure. This was ok, just to point it out. It's also very windy at the top so take a jacket for this time of year! Thanks for the tour!
