We'll be back! - The museum is beautiful, the premises feudal. There is a fifteen-minute information film in the magnificent concert hall. There is also a small museum shop and an adjacent restaurant.

Enjoyable and interactive experience - Nice and interactive experience with a trip through the history of the Strauss family. At the end you can sit down and enjoy a kind of digital concert.

Successful overall impression - The museum impresses with detailed knowledge and visual finesse. The interactive elements also loosen up the experience in a positive sense. The theme-based colour design makes it easier to find your way around. Unfortunately, I personally missed two little things: On the one hand, I did not find any reference to Offenbach (possibly overlooked?) and I could not remember any information about a certain Miss Olga Smirnitskaya in retrospect... The selection of the pieces for the concerto was, in my view, well done, although I would rather have heard something from Ziehrer (Die schön Helene, for example, with reference to Offenbach) or Lanner as a pioneer for the Viennese Waltz, if a piece of a non-Strauss, than Mozart. The performance is clearly designed for tourism, in English with German subtitles. The animation of the pictures or photos takes a little getting used to in some cases, here is less something more in my view. The price-performance ratio is a little overthinkable in terms of the occupancy of the VIP seats, because if you are a category A guest in the 5th-last row, does that seem to me to allow the question whether you don't leave category A entirely with such a high number of guests? Conclusion: Also worth seeing for Viennese, the repeat value is manageable at best.

Ok but not worth the money or effort to get there - The concert itself was good but the event was overpriced. The museum and displays interesting but not worth the fee charged. The venue was outside the main historic centre and a bit of a trek. The audience seemed to be made up of coach tours. In hindsight, we would have better spent our money on one of the classical concerts in the historic centre churches.

'SCHANI' turns in the grave.... - Strauss Museum top, highly recommended! Classic Strauss concert is a tourist event and NOT recommended for Viennese/Austrians! The concept of the event is very good, but the whole performance is in English and you have to read in German from screen. You should know and want to. For us a no go! Johann Strau's stories belong in Viennese dialect. The fact that one is guided through the program at an Austrian screening in English, which is not mentioned anywhere else when buying the expensive tickets, is a cheek for us. Our mother tongue is German, we are not Touris! And the performance so basically comes from a sonorous screen voice and not from a 'living' speaker, you have to want that too....'Schani' turns in his grave at this performance, AI sends its regards .....
