Marrakech - Aït Benhaddou - Ouarzazate - The Dadès Valley

Ait Ben Haddou - The journey begins by departing from Marrakech, heading towards Ouarzazate. Along the way, travelers will traverse the breathtaking Atlas Mountains, passing through the stunning Tizi n’Tichka mountain pass, which stands at 2,260 meters high.

Midway through the trip, the group will reach the Aït Benhaddou Kasbah, a fortified city that has been a filming location for movies like Gladiator and Kingdom of Heaven. Visitors will have about two and a half hours to explore this remarkable desert city and enjoy lunch.

Ouarzazate - The journey continues to Ouarzazate, where there will be approximately half an hour to admire and photograph the impressive Taourirt Kasbah.

Boumalne Dades - Traveling along “The Road of a Thousand Kasbahs” towards Skoura, the group will cross the Valley of the Roses before finally arriving at the Dadès Valley, where they will spend the night. Occasionally, accommodations may be in Skoura instead.

Dades Valley - Todgha Gorges - Merzouga

Gargantas del Todra - After breakfast, the group will set off towards the Dadès Valley, passing through the incredible Todgha Gorges, where they will pause to appreciate the stunning landscape. The journey then continues towards Merzouga, passing through the Jorf palm grove, known for producing the finest dates, with a stop for lunch before reaching Erfoud, a village renowned for its fossil fragments.

Merzouga - Upon arrival in Merzouga, travelers will switch from motor vehicles to camels to venture into the desert and locate the Bedouin camp where they will spend the night. Here, amidst the serene desert silence, they will enjoy one of the most authentic dinners in all of Morocco.

Merzouga - Rissani - Alnif -Tizi n’Tichka - Ouarzazate - Marrakesh

Merzouga - An early rise allows for the enjoyment of the sunrise over the highest dunes of Erg Chebbi in Merzouga, one of the desert’s most magical moments. Afterward, breakfast will be served in the camp, followed by packing and returning either by camels or 4x4, leaving the dunes behind. Back on paved roads, the journey continues to Marrakech through Alnif, Tazarine, Draa Valley, Agdez, and Ouarzazate.

Marrakech - In Ouarzazate, there will be free time for lunch and a photo opportunity in front of the famous Taourirt Kasbah. The journey then proceeds to Marrakech, marking the end of the Merzouga desert experience. The route crosses the Atlas Mountains and Berber villages between Ouarzazate and Marrakech, with drop-off at the accommodation.
