Planazo in Aswan - Excellent transport to the beautiful show. The boy who took us on the boat demonstrated a surprising maturity: he solved each incident calmly and effectively. Despite his young age, his skill and attitude made the journey safe and very pleasant.

Great experience - It felt a little shady at the beginning with so much security and hanging out at night Also the boat has no light But once u trust yourself to God, it’s actually an enjoyable experience look at the beautiful stars and the show is a great way to see the temple avoiding the high temperatures

Amazing, unforgettable - This is an amazing trip, with beautiful lights and sound i heard a long story from Philae Temple. Thanks for Liza, she is really nice and helpfully, she helped us to find Chinese guide and keep following our trip. We really recommend this trip:)

We recommend - The transfer by car and then by boat to island is well organised. You will arrive at a boat station where you can buy official tickets from a local there. The tickets are official and cost 1000 Egyptian pounds as of December. The same price as on the website of the show. Everyone was kind to us and we would recommend the trip. The light show itself is amazing, with lights showing the temple in beautiful yellowish light and the music and sound telling the story of the temple. Even if you visit the temple during the day, it is worth seeing at night as the experience is completely different. We would give 5 out of 4 but our driver was late for the pickup and because of that we lost the first five minutes of the show.

It's okay - It was pretty okay, took 1 hour to get to the island with random stops, as they waited for other passengers to get to the dock the same time. Ticket cost 1000 le and cash only, the show was in French just like other reviews said, none of these were in their description purposely I guess. English audio is available for extra "fee". The show was just a quick walking tour. Temple was beautiful with lights, just not worth what you paid.

Returned to hotel, no refund. No English. Entrance is double the tour cost, cash only - I will have grace because we were running 9 minutes behind and they waited... But the guide did not speak ANY English. Did not introduce himself and spoke only to the driver the entire ride to the docks. When booking, it doesn't say the entrance ticket tripples the cost! Litterally, you get to the dock and they want to sell you an entrance ticket that's twice as much as the whole tour and transportation was. Please just include the entrance in the cost OR disclose the entrance cost in the description. Sadly, we didn't have enough cash on us to buy the high price tickets and they brought us back to the hotel, no refund for the tour... lost our opportunity to see this as we leave tomorrow. Guide had to call the operator who then had to text me via whatsap to explain because, again, no English. Not sure why we would pay extra for a guide who can't communicate with us, even slightly. He bought us drinks on the way back as a consolation so, we tipped him despite missing the show. Do not recommend.

Viator needs to rethink their partnerships...... - Be aware of what is offered before you buy. I had to purchase a ticket to the show before the boat ride, without being notified of how much the ticket will cost. Apparently you have to ask, they will not offer this information to you. Through this company, you cannot buy a ticket, a driver and the show together. Through Viator and their sub contractor (Nice Tours), you will arrive at a sandy, trash riddled boat launch, with young children appearing out of no where to sell you books and malnourished animals lying about. A random person will appear with a homemade ticket demanding money from you for an amount you were not informed about. The person and location you are purchasing it from does not appear to be associated with the show or any formal tourist group. Cash only. They also have 'never seen' the tickets offered by Viator. When I reached out to Viator to see if I could receive a refund, I was being harassed by the drivers contact to get on the boat. When I informed them that I will not be paying a random 'associate' for the show, they became extremely smug, defensive and rude about not refunding me and that they never needed to inform me of the price because I did not ask. This experience is the exact reason why I suggest that Aswan as a whole could be passed up. Take a Nile cruise, stop at Philae Temple with another group and fly to Abu Simbel.

Lack of seriousness!!! - We had planned a tour to Philae temple (soundandlight tour). The gentlemen could not pick us up from the hotel and so they arranged for us to pick up which cost us 40 euros. Once we arrived on site, we were informed that the tour no longer takes place because there was a party. So 40 euros spent unnecessarily. We were told the tour could be done the next day. But even the next day we were warned at the last minute that for bad weather the tour could not be done. Too bad there was no bad weather. We felt robbed and made fun of. A bad experience.
