Fabulous trip on the Nile Whisper - It is good to be amongst happy people, and we certainly were with the crew we had on the Nile Whisper for our 3 night trip on the Nile. We carefully chose this vessel and the experience did not disappoint given the quest to recreate traditional felucca sailing. The excellent vegetarian catering, showers and toilets and the rest of the team were hidden away on the support boat which vanished and appeared exactly as required. The Nile Whisper even had battery powered lights for reading and USB ports should they be required. We were able to get involved in the sailing after expressing that we were keen sailors at home, my husband spent a lot of time helming and the crew welcomed help with the sail adjustments, at the beginning and end of the day. We were very fortunate with light but consistent breezes and travelling with the current, so rarely needed to be towed. The overnight arrangements were humble but beautiful, cotton / linen compartments around the day beds and the enclosed seating area at the stern provided privacy for dinner and overnight. Evening anchorages were so quiet and peaceful. We can’t thank the boat and crew for such a wonderful experience and would not hesitate to recommend the Nile Whisper to anyone thinking of sailing the Nile in this way.

Calm and relaxing experience - This new felucca has two levels - a well fitted lower deck with sofas that converts to beds and a top level with reclining chairs to enjoy the view from. The crew were very hospitable and kind and accompanied us on a motorboat where they cooked delicious meals and took care of us. We could sit back and enjoy!

Magical experience on the Nile - I stayed for one night on Sam’s felucca with a group and it was the most amazing experience. We sailed up the Nile from Aswan for a few hours in the evening and caught the sunset on the calm waters. Sam’s felucca has two decks, the lower with beds and the upper sun deck with loungers, which is the perfect place to watch the sunset from. The support boat which stays alongside the felucca contains the toilets and showers and is where the chef prepares the food. I was in Egypt for 10 days and the food provided on the felucca was by the far the best of the whole trip - the chef is very talented! The beds are comfortable, with Egyptian cotton sheets and a heavier blanket for when it gets colder at night, and the mosquito net protects you from being bitten. Overall my experience on the Nile Whisper was brilliant, and the final treat was watching the sunrise before having a lovely breakfast on the upper deck. Sam is an excellent host and will make your trip one to remember! I definitely recommend taking a trip on the Nile Whisper, whether just for a few hours or several nights!

Night on the Nile Whisper - I went as part of a group trip. Sam was a great host. There is a top deck where you can relax and see the sunset. You can sleep on really comfortable mattresses and pillows at night. The meals are delicious. The cook was top notch. There are charging stations and reading lights. There is a mosquito net that covers the sleeping area. There are showers and bathrooms available. The showers have hot water.
