Marsa Alam Transfer to Aswan & Aswan Tour

Marsa Alam - The operator will pick guests up from their hotel in Marsa Alam and drive them by air-conditioned van to Aswan, where they will be transferred to a 5-star Nile cruise to check in before lunch on board. Note: if arrival in Aswan is very early, the tour will begin directly upon arrival, as check-in is at 12:00.

Aswan High Dam - The tour begins with a visit to the High Dam, completed in 1960 to protect Egypt from flooding and generate electricity.

Temple of Philae - Guests proceed to visit the Greco-Roman temple dedicated to the goddess Isis, reaching it by small motorboat. Afterwards, they return to the cruise for dinner and a folkloric show.

Abu Simbel Tour & Kom Ombo Tour

Abu Simbel Temple Complex - (optional tour) At around 4:30, the guide will pick guests up for the Abu Simbel trip (sharing a small group). Arriving around 8 am, they will visit one of the most impressive places in Egypt: the rock-cut temples of Abu Simbel, with their unique design built for King Ramesses II and his beloved Queen Nefertari. An Egyptology tour guide will explain the history of the temples from the outside (no guidance is provided inside). Guests enjoy visiting the temple for about 90 minutes and taking memorable photos, then drive back to Aswan, returning to the cruise around 1:30 PM for lunch before sailing on to Kom Ombo.

Temple of Kom Ombo - In Kom Ombo, guests visit the dual temple of Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus, the falcon god. They then return to the cruise for dinner and continue sailing to Edfu for the overnight stay.

Edfu Temple & Enjoy Sailing

Temple of Horus - After breakfast, guests enjoy a horse carriage ride with their tour guide to visit the Temple of Horus at Edfu, considered the most complete and best-preserved of all the Egyptian temples. They return to the cruise and relax on deck, watching the unique landscape and admiring the beautiful scenery of the Nile River while sailing to Luxor, crossing the Esna Lock. Lunch is served on board, followed by afternoon tea on the sundeck.

Luxor Temple - Late in the afternoon, guests arrive at the cruise dock and are transferred to enjoy Luxor Temple on the East Bank of Luxor, where ancient Egyptian, Christian, and Islamic features are exhibited. Dinner is served on board, followed by a belly dancing show, with an overnight stay in Luxor. Note: if arrival at the Luxor dock is by 3:00 or 3:30 PM, there is a chance to visit both Karnak and Luxor Temples.

Karnak Temple & West Bank Tour & Transfer Back to Marsa Alam

Hot Air Balloon Luxor Take-Off Site - (optional tour) Beginning around 5:00 am (subject to change), guests are picked up for an incredible 20 to 45 minute hot air balloon flight over the West Bank of Luxor, enjoying an aerial view of the country’s landscape and famous landmarks. They can enjoy the sunrise illuminating the sky of the open-air museum city of Luxor, over the great temples and mountains below.

Valley of the Kings - After breakfast and check-out, guests begin their unforgettable day by driving to the West Bank to visit the Valley of the Kings, where the pharaohs of the New Kingdom carved their tombs into the mountains, aiming to hide their treasure and protect their mummies.

Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari - Guests visit the mortuary temple of the famous queen Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari, discovering her beautiful temple and her captivating story with her nephew. The West Bank tour ends with a photo stop in front of the gigantic statues of Memnon, followed by lunchtime at a local restaurant (optional).

Temple of Karnak - Guests return to the East Bank to see the largest temple ever built: Karnak Temple, constructed over 2,000 years and covering an area of about 63 acres. They can take wonderful pictures among its huge pillars and obelisks. Finally, guests are transferred back to their hotel in Luxor or to Luxor airport.
