The BEST thing you can do in Egypt - This is a really special tour. We did a truly nauseating amount of research before picking one, but we were still worried that it wouldn't be perfect. From being picked up at the Aswan airport even when our flight was delayed to being dropped off at the Luxor airport, this tour was everything we had hoped for and more. Important to note is that Egypt Knight, the tour company, does a great job setting everything up for you, but a lot of the drivers/staff/optional tours are basically freelancers, so your mileage may vary. But if you're lucky, you'll spend four days on a private tour with Mr. Hani, the best tour guide in Egypt. He was so attentive and knowledgeable, and he really made this a special tour. We appreciated not only his information about the sites, but also his advice about how to handle hawkers and nuanced take on modern Egypt. We always felt like we were being treated fairly and professionally. The days start brutally early, so this is definitely not a tour for you if you want a relaxing, do-nothing cruise. But if you want to see EVERYTHING with an absolute expert, don't think twice. The boat is lovely. Larger than we thought, but it never felt crowded. It's kind of a shame that you really only have one day of being on the boat while it's sailing, but it's worth it to see so many incredible archeological sites. Thank you Mr. Hani! Thank you Renaissance Cruise Ship! Thank you Egypt Knight!!

Wonderful insights into the culture of ancient Egypt - The experiences on this trip were incredible. Visiting the numerous cultural places incomparable. Our guide Hani was professionally very informative and accompanied us excellently on the trip. The staff on the ship were very friendly. The cabins did not quite correspond to those shown in the photos, but were clean and perfectly adequate for the overnight stays.

Great tour - We are a reliable tour company. I had trouble boarding a cruise ship due to overbooking, probably because of the New Year holidays, but they arranged a replacement hotel. The tour company was very gracious and from the second day we boarded the cruise ship and enjoyed the plan as planned. The fact that admission tickets are included is also appreciated. At our request, we were able to purchase additional tickets to see the Valley of the Kings. The guide explained it in plain English and the trip was very smooth. Thank you very much for your kind arrangement!

Great cruise and tour! - We (couple from NYC, USA), took this trip to ring in the NY on the nile. This was a great experience, our guide, Magdy, really made the trip informative and exciting. Magdy really had great timing and knew when we should be at the various sites so that we could have the best experience with the least amount of crowding (and believe me, in high season it was a sea of humans everywhere). Our group was about 20 and so, again, Magdy did a great job keeping everything together and ensuring that we got as much information and history as we wanted. We sailed on the Lady Mary and the ship was clean and the sundeck was nice. Cabins were nice too. Food was decent and the crew was very friendly and accommodating. You spend most of the time off ship visiting areas and so having ultra luxury on the ship was not really what was important to us anyways (save the $ and hit up the four seasons in giza or the ritz carlton in Cairo instead both of which were well worth it). Last note, communication was impeccable using WhatsApp. We were kept up to date with everything even when our flight landed 2 hours late!!! Even with the hiccup there was a driver outside waiting for us and he shuttled us off to join the main group which was excellent and shows that this company has experience and knows how to deal with issues that arise! Overall, enjoyed every minute of this packed cruise and tour combo, highly recommend.

Positive experience - Hossam was amazing guide. Ship was beautiful, cabins were clean and the food was good also for Italian standard. Cruise is 1 day and half of navigation, the rest of the time the ship is docked on the river and you visit temples.

A memorable experience - The cruise was a memorable experience. The ship was clean, well maintained, with spacious cabins and equipped with everything you need. Good and varied food. The Organization was exceptional, Nada from a distance always made sure that everything was fine and the guide Sam followed us with care, precision and punctuality, explaining many fundamental things to understand everything we saw. The organization in a small group made sure that everything could take place on time and being able to follow the guide carefully. We also added some extra experience and everything went perfectly thanks to our guide and Egypt Night Tours.

Mixed feelings - Ship crew was very friendly and food was good. Relaxing at the sundeck was also great. But some included tours were not well organized... For example we had only a few minutes at some monuments (Edfu temple and Kom Ombo Temple). Some tour guides were professional and some quite horrible - especially in groups. Everyday waking up was between 3 am till 5 am because of the early sightseeing trips. That was not relaxing. Unfortunately the air pollution on deck was disturbing. In general a good experience to visit famous temples nearby the Nile but without much time to enjoy them and relaxing.

An unforgettable experience - The trip has been fantastic, we are very happy, we have taken advantage of every minute 🙏🏻 Taking away the scare with the pollution and noise of the engine the first night, everything else has been perfect (for a country with so much poverty). To say that, both the ship’s workers, guides and drivers, and other people who make these cruises possible, are all wonderful ✨ I wish we could help everyone... 😔 I also want to give you my humble opinion regarding the pollution of the River Nile, it is very shocking for us, to see how the waste and fuel from the boats are floating in the river. Egypt is a wonderful country, with wonderful people.

Lady Mary a great cruise experience from Serenity Cruises. - Lady Mary was the ship allocated. We go one double occupancy cabin and one suite to accomodate us with our daughter in the living room. Service is excellent on board on expectation of good departure tips. The guide service for the various monuments from Magdi was extraordinary. Food at the buffet had a huge variety but was predominantly middle eastern. Loved the desserts specially the variety of Baklavas. They only serve Egyptian alcohol and some South African wine against payment. No other well known international Spirits are available. New Years eve party was just ok. Belly dancer was great. Ship seemed recently refurbished so was really swanky.

Poor Experience! - I would like to leave a review on behalf of my customers, a family of 10, whom we helped with travel arrangements for Egypt. We booked a cruise through the Viator with the Egypt Knight Tours based on the good rating they have on the net. The cruise was largely a disappointment. While the food and crew on the boat were decent, the evening entertainment and quality of the rooms were nowhere close to a 5-star Deluxe, which was claimed by the Egypt Knight Tours in the personal correspondence prior to booking the cruise. Despite confirming to me twice the types of rooms the customers would get, they didn't have the rooms that were initially promised, nor were they on the top deck of the boat. The most disappointing was the transfer to Hurghada, which the Egypt Knight Tours arranged for an extra charge. It was a completely run down vehicle with AC that barely worked and suspension that was definitely not working and a driver that did not speak any English. My customers had to make the 4 hour drive with suitcases on their laps and the back of one of the travelers hurt so much by the end that he ended up not being able to do anything for the next several days. As a result of his illness, the family had to cancel the all day tour in Alexandria (booked directly with the Egypt Knights) and they spent countless texts going back and forth with the tour agency asking them to do the right thing and try to get a reimbursement on Alexandria. They refused and instead offered a couple of airport transfers and one shorter half day tour in Cairo. This was less than 25% of the cost of the Alexandria tour but my customers eventually agreed. They asked the Egypt Knight Tours to include an Egyptian dinner which they did but it was so bad that none could really eat anything other than the chicken that was served! I do not recommend this agency as they fail to keep their promises and provide poor-quality service!
