Abu Simbel with Abdul - The tour was great. We got picked up at our ship first thing and were driven to Abu Simbel, where we met our guide. Abduls was very knowledgeable and it helped us feel like we knew what we were looking at.

Absimbel with Abdul - Our guide Abdul explained the ruins in English. He also took pictures and showed me around. The Temple of Absimbel is a historic building that should be visited at least once.

A good tour with good value for money - We picked up from the hotel after 4:30, and Merena, a tour company, helped us with our meeting time in detail on WhatsApp beforehand. On the way we arrived at 8:30 with a toilet break at a coffee shop. We toured Abu Simbel and the Temple of Minor for about two hours with a total of eight participants. The local guide gave a lecture in easy-to-understand English about the history of murals and the relocation of temples while using photographs, which even I, who had little language skills, could understand to some extent. After the tour, I had some free time, so it was nice to take photos as I like. We left at 10:30 and returned to our hotel around 2:00. By the way, the return driver is the same, but the person who picks you up in Aswan and the person who guides you locally are different.

Abu Simbel trip - Unforgettable Visit to Abu Simbel with Passionate Guide Gabriel Visiting Abu Simbel was a dream come true, and having Gabriel as our guide made it even more remarkable. His passion for Egyptian history and culture shone through as he vividly explained the significance of these awe-inspiring temples and their relocation to save them from the rising waters of Lake Nasser. Gabriel’s storytelling brought Ramses II and Nefertari’s legacy to life, making the experience both educational and deeply moving. His attention to detail and ability to answer every question made the tour engaging for everyone. If you’re heading to Abu Simbel, Gabriel is the guide you need—knowledgeable, passionate, and truly inspiring! Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Wonderful site - We participated in the half-day tour from Aswan to Abu simbel. Unfortunately the place is a bit far away so the departure is very early but it is worth it. Good drivers and the Abdel guide also, made us a very clear explanation in English of the site before leaving us time to shoot it (guides do not enter the temples).

Gabriel and Mine - Gabriel is a very kind, funny guy with the best attitude. We spent a pleasant day with him from Asuan to Abu SImbel. Points I didn't like: we left 2 am from Asuan, to arrive much later, too many dead times. Not all your responsibility but for the organization of the tour. We lost an hour and a half in a video and explanation and by the time it was over, and we could already visit the temple was completely full and had no case getting up early, if it was already full. There were some French guys in the group, who didn't get a tour and gave the same information in both languages. I think that's why it got so long and heavy. I think there's a lot of information he could have given us earlier, instead of having us standing there 1:30 hrs. In addition to mentioning that prior to that day, we had not been mentioned to be so early, perhaps mention it in the tour description.

Poor guide service - The day starts early in the morning with 3 hours trip to get to the site where we met Ahmer our tour guide. Unfortunately guides can’t go inside the temples so what they will do is to give explanation from outside showing you pictures. Our guide was too fast and gave us few information, nothing more than something you might find reading on the web. You can save money and book a tour without guide and maybe find somebody there or read by yourself since the service given by this tour guide is really poor.

Very disappointing, would strongly recommend avoiding. - Very disappointing in almost every respect. Reckless driving on the outbound leg even by Egypt ‘s lax standards, perfunctory guiding consisting of a brief script read after the visit, insufficient time allocated onsite before we were herded - quite literally - back to the vehicle. At no time was there any effort by drivers or « guide » to connect in any way with their customers - no smile, attempt at dialogue, etc. You are treated as paying cargo and nothing else. Be also aware that you will not be rivided any food or water. The drivers did make a stop to purchase water for themselves only though, just before passing around a tip envelope 😂… The only positives for me were the beauty of the temples themselves (although they get very crowded very quickly) and the super-responsive, friendly support from the operator’s customer service person - an attitude that unfortunately was not emulated by anyone else along that food chain…
