Next, guests will sail on the Nile by motorboat to reach the Temple of Philae, built during the Graeco-Roman period and dedicated to the goddess Isis. Finally, they will visit The Unfinished Obelisk, crafted from red granite and dedicated to the god Amun Ra. After the tour, guests will return to their ship. The evening is free for leisure in Aswan.
Temple of Philae - Begin the day with a visit to the enchanting Temple of Philae. Philae is an island in the reservoir of the Aswan Low Dam, downstream of the Aswan Dam and Lake Nasser, Egypt. Originally located near the First Cataract of the Nile in Upper Egypt, it was the site of an Egyptian temple complex.
Aswan High Dam - The Aswan Dam, more specifically known since the 1960s as the Aswan High Dam, is the world’s largest embankment dam, built across the Nile in Aswan, Egypt, between 1960 and 1970. Its importance has largely overshadowed the earlier Aswan Low Dam, completed in 1902 downstream.
Unfinished Obelisk - The unfinished obelisk is the largest known ancient obelisk, located in the northern region of the stone quarries of ancient Egypt in Aswan.
Nubian Museum - The museum showcases a collection of artifacts from the Nubia region, narrating the story of civilization’s development in the southern Nile Valley from prehistory through the pharaonic ages.
Abu Simbel Temples - Sailing - Kom Ombo Temples
Abu Simbel Temple Complex - (OPTIONAL TOUR without missing any part of the cruise)

Gebel Silsila - Gebel El-Silsila, or simply Silsila, was a significant site for the ancient Egyptians. This vital sandstone quarry provided the raw materials needed to construct the massive sandstone structures at Luxor, Karnak, Ramesseum, and Kom Ombo.
Edfu Temple - Karnak Temple - Luxor Temple
Temple of Horus - After breakfast, enjoy a guided tour of one of Egypt’s most well-preserved temples, the Edfu Temple. Built in the Ptolemaic Kingdom between 237 and 57 BC, the inscriptions on its walls offer valuable insights into language, myth, and religion during the Hellenistic period in Egypt.
Esna Lock - The lock is a picturesque photo spot for Nile travelers crossing on their Nile cruises to Edfu from Luxor or to Luxor from Edfu, departing from Aswan.
Luxor Temple - In the afternoon, the cruise ship will arrive in Luxor city, and the tour guide will take guests to visit Luxor Temple. The Luxor Temple is a large ancient Egyptian temple complex located on the east bank of the Nile River in the city now known as Luxor, constructed around 1400 BCE. In the Egyptian language, it was known as ipet resyt, “the southern sanctuary.” Unlike other temples in Thebes, Luxor Temple is not dedicated to a cult god or a deified version of the pharaoh in death. Instead, it is dedicated to the rejuvenation of kingship and may have been where many pharaohs of Egypt were crowned, either in reality or conceptually.
Temple of Karnak - After visiting Luxor Temple, the tour guide will take guests to visit Karnak Temple. The Karnak Temple Complex, commonly known as Karnak, comprises a vast mix of decayed temples, pylons, chapels, and other buildings near Luxor, Egypt. Construction at the complex began during the reign of Senusret I (reigned 1971–1926 BCE) in the Middle Kingdom (around 2000–1700 BCE) and continued into the Ptolemaic Kingdom (305–30 BCE).
Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, and Memnon Colossus
Luxor - Check out after breakfast (at 08:00 AM). Guests will then enjoy a tour exploring the west bank of Luxor, including the magnificent Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the Valley of the Kings, and the Memnon Colossi. After the tour, the guide will drive guests to their preferred drop-off point: Luxor airport, Luxor train station, or their accommodation in Luxor city.
Valley of the Kings - The Valley of the Kings, also known as the Valley of the Gates of the Kings, is a valley in Egypt where, for nearly 500 years from the 16th to 11th century BC, rock-cut tombs were excavated for the pharaohs and powerful nobles of the New Kingdom. Visitors can explore three tombs in the Valley of the Kings with a standard ticket. Additional tombs, such as Tutankhamun’s, require an extra ticket.
Tomb of Merenptah - Merenptah’s tomb is one of the most impressive royal tombs in the Valley of the Kings, notable for its length of 164.5 meters and its distinguished reliefs, as well as the largest granite sarcophagus ever found in the Valley.
Tomb of Ramses III - One of the most popular tombs in the valley, KV 11 is also one of the most fascinating and well-preserved. Originally started by Sethnakht, it measures a total of 180 meters.
Tomb of Ramses III - Extending 105 meters into the hillside, the tomb begins with a gate and a shallow descending ramp, followed by three successive stretches of corridor. The first of these has four side chambers.
Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari - The Temple of Hatshepsut is a mortuary temple built during the reign of Pharaoh Hatshepsut of the Eighteenth Dynasty of Egypt. Located opposite the city of Luxor, it is considered a masterpiece of ancient architecture. Its three massive terraces rise above the desert floor and into the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari.
Howard Carter House - Across the captivating west bank of Luxor lies the house of British archaeologist and Egyptologist Howard Carter, the man who led the team excavating the tomb of Tutankhamun. The house where he lived during this mission remains today and has become a popular tourist site.
Colossi of Memnon - The Colossi of Memnon are two massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III, standing at the entrance of the ruined Mortuary Temple of Amenhotep III, the largest temple in the Theban Necropolis.
Ramesseum (Mortuary Temple of Ramses II) - The Ramesseum is the memorial temple of Pharaoh Ramesses II, located on the west bank of Luxor.
