Temple of Kom Ombo - Perched on elevated ground overlooking the Nile, this temple is unique for its dual entrances, each dedicated to a deity: “Haroeris” with a falcon head and “Sobek” with a crocodile head. Built to honor Sobek, the crocodile-headed god of fertility and creator of the world, and Haroeris, the ancient falcon-headed Horus, Kom Ombo is also notable for its vast sugar-cane fields.
