The hot air balloon ride in Luxor was the highlight for me .it was magical and incredibly romantic. Watching the sunrise over the Nile and the ancient temples felt like something out of a movie. It’s one of those moments you just hold onto forever. The cruise ship itself was lovely. Our cabin was clean, comfortable, and had a beautiful view of the Nile. The food was delicious with plenty of variety, and the staff were so kind and attentive, always smiling and ready to help. Overall, this cruise was the perfect mix of romance, culture, and comfort. Our Egyptologist guide was incredibly knowledgeable, breaking down the complex history of the Pharaohs into stories that actually made sense. ​The middle days of the cruise were a great balance of relaxation and exploration. Stopping at Kom Ombo and Edfu (via horse carriage!) felt like traveling back in time. Seeing the Nile pass by from the sun deck with a tea in hand is a core memory I won't soon forget. ​The Heavy Hitters: Abu Simbel & Hot Air Balloon ​Abu Simbel: Yes, the 4:00 AM wake-up call is brutal, but the moment you see those four colossal statues of Ramses II emerging from the desert light, the exhaustion vanishes. It is a masterpiece of engineering and well worth the drive. ​The Balloon Ride: This was the "bucket list" moment. Floating over the Valley of the Kings at sunrise as the desert turns gold is indescribable. You get a perspective of the scale of the temples and the lush Nile greenery that you just can't get from the ground. ​Life on Board ​The cruise ship was a "floating hotel" with great service. The food was a diverse buffet (plenty of Egyptian specialties to try), and the "Galabiya Party" on one of the nights was a fun way to bond with the other travelers. ​A Few Tips for Future Travelers: ​Bring Cash: Even if your tour is "all-inclusive," you will need small bills for tipping (the "baksheesh" culture is strong) and for drinks on board, as these are usually not included in the meal plan. ​Layers: The desert is freezing before sunrise (for Abu Simbel and the Balloon) but scorching by noon. Dress in layers! ​Earplugs: If your cabin is near the back of the boat, the engine noise can be a bit loud when sailing at night. ​Bottom line: If you only have a few days, this package hits every major "must-see" without the stress of organizing your own transport. Unforgettable journey - I had an amazing time on the 3-Night Nile Cruise from Aswan to Luxor with my best friend! Every place we visited was breathtaking: the High Dam was impressive, Philae Temple was magical, and Abu Simbel was absolutely unforgettable. Kom Ombo and Edfu temples were rich with history. The hot air balloon over Luxor was a once in a lifetime experience. We also loved visiting Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple, Hatshepsut Temple, and the Valley of the Kings each spot was unique and incredible. The staff on the cruise were super friendly, the food was delicious, and the guides were very knowledgeable and explained everything in detail. Overall, it was a wonderful trip and I highly recommend it!
