Wonderful Oxen of Egypt - SPLENDOR IN EGYPT Review of Oxen of Egypt Samar was our guide for the temples of Luxor, Karnak, and Habu as well as the tombs in the Valley of the Kings and Valley of the Nobles and a variety of sites between Luxor and Abu Simbel, including the Aswan. Samar’s open and joyous personality (and humor) alone made the tour thoroughly enjoyable, and her knowledge and presentation elevated the excursion to a higher level. She conveyed information in impeccable English. Her mastery of Egyptian history is expansive, enthusiastic, and not only includes description and interpretation but a deep appreciation of the art. She was tour guide and art docent but quickly also became a friend. Samar was sensitive to the group’s needs, providing an immersive experience of Egyptian life while still affording us “free” time to do things on our own or relax. She negotiated with vendors to ensure that we bought souvenirs at a fair price. She brough her joie de vive to the occasion and ensued that we fell in love with Egyptian culture and cuisine. Frankly, Samar became our favorite tour guide across our many years of travel. Visitors who engage her services will be lucky indeed.

Exceptional Samar - I had the absolute pleasure of being guided by Samar visiting Luxor sites. She is the perfect guide! So knowledgeable and Truly passionate which comes across in her delivery of the history and the stories. She speaks perfect English, is warm, friendly and witty. Her pace of delivery is excellent allowing time to look around and to take photos. Samar also gave advice about the does and don’ts whilst in Egypt, taxi prices etc. I would highly recommend Samar to anyone visiting Egypt and will definitely be arranging other tours on my return.

My tour of Luxor and its surroundings with the best guide in town! - Samar is an excellent guide... She gives the relevant information without stuffing our heads... she makes the tour interesting, relaxing and fun. She listens to our needs and adapts the visit accordingly. I think anyone who wants to visit Luxor and its surroundings will be lucky to have Samar as a guide. In addition, Samar’s English is excellent which makes it easier to understand the beautiful Egyptian stories she knows so well.

Samar - a great guide! - I brought a group to Egypt and had Samar as our guide in Luxor, Abydos and Deindra. She is a fantastic!! guide and a lovely person to be with. She is extremely knowledgeable and communicates with patience and perfect English. We are bringing another group this next year and hope to have her again. Samar, the best guide - We spent 5 days visiting the temples with Samar as our guide. She is very knowledgeable, fun, very professional, patient and discrete. She alway answered all of our questions. She would never asked us to hurry up. She gave us explanations and what to pay attention to in the temples. Then we could spend time alone if we wanted. We asked her, when was the best time to avoid crowds; at opening she said. She was meeting us, at our hotel, bright and early with a smile every morning. We were at the site with very few other people. She became a friend. Thank you Samar for making our visit to this part of Egypt so memorable.

Absolutely wonderful tour guide! - Ms. Samar Mohamed is a wonderful tour guide, a lady who is knowledgeable about the sites of Upper Egypt and speaks beautiful English, and moreover is a delightful travel companion. As a woman traveling on my own, I was very happy to have Samar’s company at the sites and we enjoyed engaging conversations throughout the day. I have recommended Samar as a tour guide to other friends who were visiting Egypt, and they also had the same instant connection with her thanks to Samar’s warm and happy personality.
