Aswan High Dam - Embark on your day tour in Aswan by being collected from your hotel or cruise ship and traveling to the High Dam of Aswan, an engineering marvel constructed in the 1960s. From the top of the High Dam, enjoy views across Lake Nasser to the Kalabsha temple in the south and the expansive power station to the north.

Unfinished Obelisk - Proceed to the Unfinished Obelisk located in the granite quarries of Aswan, the source of much of the red granite used for ancient temples and colossi. The Unfinished Obelisk remains where it was carved when a crack was discovered during its extraction. Your knowledgeable Egyptologist guide will explain the carving process of the 1-ton obelisk and the impact of the crack.

Temple of Philae - The final of the three renowned Aswan sites you will visit is often considered the most impressive. Philae Temple was meticulously relocated to its current position (approximately 500 meters from its original location) due to the rising Nile waters caused by the High Dam’s construction. A brief motorboat ride will take you to the island, where your guide will lead a walking tour through the temple, followed by free time for you to explore independently.

Dedicated to the goddess Isis, Philae Temple is beautifully situated on an island in the river, landscaped to resemble its original setting.

Aswan - After completing your tour, you will be returned to your hotel in Aswan.

Abu Simbel Guided Tour & Train from Aswan to Luxor

Abu Simbel Temple Complex - Begin your early morning tour to visit the Abu Simbel Temple, a breathtaking Ancient Egyptian monument crafted by Ramses II from a sandstone rock cliff.
