Aswan - Andro is an excellent guide. The way he explains makes the information very easy to follow and entertaining. During the whole tour he interacts with us and solve any question or doubt. The guide we have had during our stay in Egypt. Excellent quality price service.

1st day Isis, obelisk and Dam tour - My guide Heba was friendly, kind and knowledgeable. The temple of Isis was amazing. Next time, I would probably forego the unfinished obelisk and Dam.

On the second day there... - The second day we did not like it at all. We visited a temple in the morning and then all day locked up by ship (just to wait to pass through the river gate) even though we were stopped at Esna where we could see the temple.

Over all it was fine - I booked 3 nights 4 days twice, confirmed then changed dates of their own showing no reason. Then again I booked for 2 nights 3 days. Then it moved smoothly. The foods , cleanliness were good. But viatorshould be more active. Even though the service provider says that the dates are changed and I reported viator , they still continued booking for the same dates and collected money

Cruise 3 nights from Assun to Luxor - We had a great stay overall.
Still, we should note two major drawbacks:
The impossibility for Edfu to take anything but horse-drawn carriages. So it was impossible for us to take a tuktuk, van... to ride and not participate in the gear of animal abuse.
Too bad, we'll have to leave it to the customers.
The Perfume Factory on Aswan, which is a "scam" in its own right. Everything is orchestrated meticulously. But the rates are at least 3 or 4 times more expensive....
And again, I'm not talking about the quality they sell us. Too bad Nice Tours is associated with this image.
Positive point to highlight:
The crew of the boat Ciela was very professional and helpful. And the food inside really great.
The guides and drivers were very good.
The organization went well, and we had a good time apart from the 2 hiccups you need to fix to improve.

About Mostafa - Our guide, Mostafa, was so worried about us that every time we met on the boat, he asked us if everything was going well or if we were in trouble.
He seemed busy at work and stayed up all night sleeping, but he was still working hard for us. When I asked him questions about the view he could see from the ship, he told me everything he could, and if I didn't know, he looked it up on the internet. I'm glad you're such a gentle guide!

Booking automatically cancelled by operator to facilitate higher charging - Be aware of this tour operator - they are interested only in profits.
Had booked a 2 night Nile cruise from Aswan to Luxor for family of 4 a few months back. Then it was automatically cancelled by Nice Tours last week (2 weeks before due to travel). Different reasons supplied for why it was cancelled (circumstances beyond control / operational issues / issues with a ship). But then eventually transpired that they could get 2-3x more cost by cancelling my booking and make me rebook at higher costs.
I have never in all my years experienced such unethical behaviour by any company, where my booking and payment was made and accepted. How companies such as this are allowed to operate on the booking platform is anyone's guess. My itinerary is fixed and no other options supplied despite repeated requests. I now have to make last minute alternative plans by myself.
I will revise my score depending on the customer service with this company (which is not positive to date).
Hence pls be aware of the status of your booking even though payment may have been made.

Catastrophic Organization, Unsafe, and Unprofessional – Worst and Most Stressful Tour Ever - I am a 39-year-old woman traveling alone in Egypt, and I booked a Nile cruise from Aswan to Luxor through GetYourGuide. The tour was operated by Nice Tours, and partly by Shekba Tours, but I didn't know anything at the time of booking. I paid 515 euros for this 2-night tour.
This trip was the most stressful and poorly managed experience of my life, and I've travelled around the world alone and with my husband. There were countless moments where my safety, mental health, and enjoyment were disregarded by these agencies.
The nightmare began with a one-hour late pickup in Aswan on my first day—scheduled for 4:00 am but arriving at 5:00 am—so the entire Abu Simbel visit was rushed. I had only 30 minutes for the two temples, leaving no time to appreciate one of the greatest archaeological sites in the world.
After returning late to Aswan (2:30 pm, instead of the planned 1:00 pm), the disaster escalated. Instead of taking me to the boat upon arrival to the Aswan docks, the agent Hazem (Shekba Tours) abandoned me and four other women on the road above the dock with all our luggage. If Hazem had taken me directly to my ship, as he should have, I would have boarded on time and avoided nearly all the subsequent distress.
At 15:30, scared and harassed by the men around, I proactively went down to the docks, where I found Hazem. He then informed me that my cruise had sailed without me.
At that point, Hazem did not give me any information about this total failure; he just said that I would be driven by car to the next cruise stop at Kom Ombo. However, my receptionist at the cruise later confirmed that my ship had been waiting for me at the dock in Aswan from 2:00 pm to 3:15 pm!! As I said above, I was in Aswan at 2:30 pm. So I was 45 minutes on the side of the road just above and the boat sailed without me because Hazem from Shekba Tours did not take me to it. All the chaos that followed—missing my ship, frantic searching, and hours of uncertainty—was a direct result of Shekba Tours and Nice Tours' incredible negligence 😞 Both agencies remained unreachable during the whole process, calls were not answered and I only got scattered apologies now and then without any kind of information.
At 4 pm I was separated from the other four stranded girls, whose cruise was overbooked and could not board either. My new driver took me and other 2 unrelated tourists in the same situation on a long drive to Kom Ombo (over 1 hour). When we arrived, I realised the driver didn't know which was my cruise. When I asked Hazem from Shekba Tours, he said he didn't know either. Nice Tours remained unreachable. My driver frantically screamed at several people on the phone. The situation lead to more than 30 minutes of wandering the docks up and down with all my baggage while my driver called around in desperation. Finally, a tour guide appeared. To my surprise, when I was saying goodbye to the driver, he said I should pay for the whole drive from Aswan to Kom Ombo! I said this was a transfer by the agency, but he insisted, and I had to pay 250 EGP (around 5 euros).
Here comes the only good part ot the trip: Abdul, my guide at Kom Ombo, whose kindness and care truly stood out. This man recognized how much I was suffering—confused, exhausted, on the verge of collapse—and he made it his mission to get me safely onto my ship. He didn't rest until he found my boat and made sure I was physically on board at last, even helped me check in. This took him 1 hour of wandering the docks and asking around. To him, I owe thanks and good energy for ever. He was a rare source of human decency and support in an otherwise terrible ordeal.
So I finally made it to the cruise at 7 pm. The Casa Sol cruise crew was welcoming and warm. They gave me a plate of fruit to compensate for my missed lunch (I hadn't had a bite since breakfast and my journey started at 4 am). They initially put me at the very latest room, wall to wall to the motor. I complained because the noise was so loud, and they immediately changed my room. I truly thank them for this and for their kindness.
In any case, I came to my final room at 9 pm (initial estimated time was 1 pm)
Despite this couple of moments of humanity, the rest of the activities incluided in the Nice Tours program was a constant source of distress. Every guide was at least 30 minutes late, forcing me to rush through the visit's. I was repeatedly the last to reboard, with the ship's crew calling my guides to return me.
In general, the tour guides for the several excursions (except Abdul at Kom Ombo) were neither knowledgeable nor professional, and English-language communication was poor throughout, often making basic information impossible to get.
On the last day, the much-anticipated balloon ride over Luxor was cynically canceled for “bad weather” despite a perfect sky, and I watched dozens of balloons fly while standing disappointed on my boat.
The icing of the cake was my tour guide on the last day in Luxor. After I refused a shopping detour, he became silent and rude and started walking very fast. At some point I told him to please relax and tried to explain my situation, but he didnt understand me or didn't want to. Suddenly, after lunch, he began to make unwelcome sexual advances and inappropriate jokes—even after I told him I was married and uninterested.
This amount of chaos, distress, and repeated disrespect (especially for a solo female traveler) is inexcusable at this price. My entire holiday was ruined by Nice Tour’s negligence.
Since Nice Tours were unresponsive, I requested at least a partial refund from the GetYourGuide-Team, and they give me back only 129 euros, because the agency Nice Tours negates all of the above. Importantly, I have Whatsapp proof for all of the situation and multiple witnesses.
I am strongly warning others: avoid Nice Tours and/or Shekba Tours for Nile cruises at all costs.
