Super knowledgeable guide - Highly recommend Ali Baaba. He was super knowledgeable on all the stories, history and fun facts. I learned more from him than any other Egyptian guide, and he communicated in an engaging way. He was extremely patient and flexible - I scheduled for a late tour (around 2pm) and we were still able to check off everything on the list by moving expeditiously.

The benefit of this tour is not only tasting flavor of ancient times in Isis Temple but obtaining grasp of recent development in Aswan by visiting High Dam within half a day. If you are need to take a flight, train or ferry evening time and have time till that time, joining this tour will fulfill your daytime meaningfully and enrich your travel. My tour guide Samir is knowledgeable person and he took care of me a lot. You may ask him to guide good local restaurant also. This tour is highly recommended.

Great tour with a fantastic guide! - We went with Emad as our guide and Ahmed as our driver and both were fantastic. Emad met us on our ship and immediately showed his passion for Egypt and its history from the first moment. That continued as we took our tour, sharing stories, providing details and answering questions, while giving us plenty of free time to take photos and explore on our own. The minibus we took was really good quality and Ahmed’s driving felt super safe, and the made sure they got us back to the cruise ship in plenty of time. I would highly recommend this tour and Emad and Ahmed. Thanks guys!

Only go for the island not the dam - “The tour guide was helpful and clearly did his best to keep everyone happy. However, I must say that the dam itself was absolutely nothing to see and quite underwhelming. The island, on the other hand, was nice and enjoyable. In my opinion, the island alone is worth the visit, but not the rest of the tour. I also didn’t like the shops we were taken to, as they were not of interest to me and were not mentioned as part of the itinerary, which was disappointing. Additionally, the tour company’s management lacks communication. I’m not sure whether they are simply busy or if there is another reason, but communication from management was very poor

Guide was not knowledgable and hardly shared any information about sites, was interested only in extracting more money - The low rating is primarily because of the guide and not the sites which were really great. Even though our booking included an English speaking, Egyptologist guide, our allocated guide Ramada for the Aswan tour seemed to be neither. He was hardly able to speak with us in English and was least interested in explaining any details about the wonderful sites we visited during the tour. He was doing the bare minimum at each place and kept rushing us in 30 mins at each site when the booking said 1 hour at each place. At the first place they showed us a very poor quality Nat Geo video at the start, expecting a good tip for that as well, and after that hardly any explanation of history by the guide, when asked specifically on history/ age of structures, he was not able to reply saying many many years. He tried to fraud us by saying that road to philae temple was closed due to flooding and rather he can arrange a Luxor tour for us later as alternative !! when I said that we will get full refund for viator if that is the case, he could immediately find the road ( which looked like the main road to us) . We later got to know that he is originally a Luxor guide and not Aswan guide do not sure why viator assigned him to us in first place. At the main site, the Philae temple, again he was more interested in earning money in evening by booking a light and sound show rather than focusing on the current site. We declined any further service due to poor quality of his guidance. Would never recommend , specially if it is guide Ramada , as it ruined a large part of what we thought would be a day full of knowledge and learning. Hope viator ensure such experience is not repeated for anyone.

unpleasant - tour to aswan, philae etc... The airplane was late. So we were late. The guide complained about having to wait for us. He made us feel guilty for things not in our control. He was very bossy and controlling. He also advised us to start a sunset tour at 5 or 530 when we knew the sun went down at 5. So we had to insist on being at the felucca at 430. And the felucca was very nice, but very short duration. Guide was bossy, argumentative and irritating.
