- Battery Russell - This historical landmark is one of nine batteries at Fort Stevens, operational for forty years from 1904 to 1944. Fort Stevens served for 84 years, from the Civil War through WWII. It is named after Bvt Major General David Russell, a Civil War veteran.
- Peter Iredale Shipwreck - The Peter Iredale was a four-masted steel bark that ran aground on October 25, 1906, on the Oregon coast while heading to the Columbia River. The ship was abandoned on Clatsop Spit near Fort Stevens in Warrenton, approximately four miles (6 km) south of the Columbia River channel. Today, the wreck remains visible and is a popular tourist spot, being one of the most accessible shipwrecks in the Graveyard of the Pacific.

Great day small group - perfect - We had a great afternoon with a tour of Warrington and Astoria. Bill was our guide he was fun and very knowledgeable. He was flexible with the schedule and what we saw. Provided a break at the end of the day and gave us a delicious salmon dip and crackers!

Super Friendly and Informative - Katie was great! A native of the area, you could tell she really loves this place, and is proud of the history here.
We really enjoyed seeing the shipwreck and the ocean, as well as learning about Lewis and Clark and walking in the beautiful forest.
I think it was really nice that she wanted to cater the tour to your needs and interests. She took us to some places that we weren’t even listed, and gave us some local recommendations of places to go when we were done!

Discover the history and nature of Astoria and Warrenton, Oregon. - Discovering Warrenton and Astoria, Oregon, with Onward Adventures was a highlight of our trip! We had a fantastic time! Our tour guide, Katie Earl (a native of Astoria), was exceptional and provided us with a deep understanding of the area's rich history and nature. She showed us hidden gems we would have otherwise missed. We visited iconic landmarks like the Astoria Column, the wreck of Peter Iredale, historic homes, experienced the scenic coastline, and saw up close the spawning salmon at Young River and wild elk in Hammond. Katie went above and beyond to make our tour memorable and personalized, like providing us with local souvenirs and restaurant recommendations. We highly recommend Onward Adventures and Katie for an enjoyable and informative tour of Astoria and the surrounding area.

Wonderful Warrenton! - Kate did a fantastic job with our tour! She took us to see Fort Steven's, the Peter Iredale shipwreck, Battery Russell, the South Jetty, and so much more. Since she's a local, she knows so many fun facts and unique trivia. She is really flexible and loves to cater to each individual tour group. We really enjoyed the tour and would highly recommend Kate!

Great Ride with a Guide - Relaxing experience and a great way to enjoy an afternoon. Very comfortable van ride. Excellent guide and host. Loved the conversation and heard about the area. Thoroughly enjoyed the views and sounds at South Jetty, views of the Elk,and more.

Fort Steven's - Tour around Warrenton with Katie was great. Seeing fort Steven's battery Russell and the peter iredale was the coolest. Also the beaches were amazing.

Two thumbs up! - My tour was amazing! Katie was very personable, and knowledgeable of the area. She was able to cater to all of our needs I especially enjoyed the tour of Hammond arena and the south jetty in fort Stevens. Peter Iredale wreck spot on the beach was really cool. Highly recommend.
