Saint Rita remains a significant figure in Christianity, symbolizing unwavering faith and unconditional love. • Roccaporena - Roccaporena is a small and picturesque medieval village located a few kilometers from Cascia in Umbria, famous as the birthplace of Santa Rita. At the heart of Roccaporena is Santa Rita’s birthplace, now a significant pilgrimage site where visitors can learn about the saint’s life and her deep connection to the area. The house has been converted into a small museum, showcasing objects related to her life and spirituality.

In Roccaporena, there is also the Sanctuary of Santa Rita, which includes the convent where the saint spent part of her youth and the small church that houses some relics attributed to her. Another notable site is the cave of Santa Rita, a natural refuge where the saint retreated for prayer and meditation.

Embark on a journey from Rome to explore three sacred sites in Umbria. A comfortable minivan will collect you from your hotel or apartment in Rome and take you to Assisi, the birthplace of St. Francis. Here, you will visit the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli and the Porziuncola, a revered place of prayer. With a local guide, you will wander through the medieval streets, visiting the St. Francis Basilica and St. Clare Basilica. Next, with your tour assistant, you will proceed to the church that holds the body of the beatified Carlo Acutis. Admission is free, but entry will depend on the waiting times due to visitor numbers.
