- Assin Manso Ancestral Slave River Park - The Assin Manso ancestral slave site and river is a significant historical location where enslaved Africans were branded, sorted, and took their final bath before embarking on a 38km journey to Cape Coast Castle, Elmina Castle, and Fort Amsterdam to await ships to an unknown destination. Visitors will learn about the site’s history and walk the Ancestral path to view the slave river, paying tribute to those who came before. Additionally, tourists can partake in a symbolic last bath by entering the river to wash their feet, face, and hands, mirroring the experience of their ancestors. Following this, tourists will be transported to Cape Coast Castle.
- Cape Coast Castle - Cape Coast Castle, the smallest of the three castles in Ghana, is the only one constructed by Europeans specifically for the slave trade. As a UNESCO World Heritage site, it plays a crucial role in commemorating the history of the trans-Atlantic slave trade in Ghana and West Africa. Visitors will explore the slave dungeons, learn about the site’s history, and pass through the DOOR OF NO RETURN, now known as the DOOR OF RETURN since 1998, welcoming descendants of enslaved Africans who were forcibly taken to unknown lands. Afterward, tourists will enjoy lunch and then proceed to Kakum National Park for the canopy walkway experience.
- Kakum National Park - Kakum National Park is Ghana’s second-largest national park, home to a variety of animals, reptiles, and birds that are primarily nocturnal. Visitors will embark on a 15-minute hike to the canopy walkway, the park’s main attraction. The walkway, standing 40-50 meters high and stretching about 350 meters, offers a breathtaking aerial view of the rainforest. Safety is a priority, with regular maintenance conducted by the park’s staff. This tour is ideal for those looking to overcome their fear of heights.
After the tour, visitors will be transported back to Accra and dropped off at their designated pickup point or location.
