Travel time varies based on the selected hike; driving time usually ranges from 20 to 60 minutes.

Explore the variety of firefly species in Western NC, including the rare Blue Ghost, on an exclusive night hike in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Priced at $185 per person, this 3-hour adventure offers transportation from downtown Asheville, expert guidance, snacks, and red-light headlamps essential for observing fireflies. The 2-mile hike is rated easy to moderate, suitable for most fitness levels, and ideal for those aged 14 and up. With a limit of 6 participants, a knowledgeable guide will navigate you through well-kept trails, providing fascinating insights into the local ecology and history. Tours start at 7pm and conclude around 10pm, available daily from May 22 - June 1 and June 26 - July 1. Please be aware that while the area is renowned for firefly sightings, they cannot be guaranteed, especially after Hurricane Helene. Closed-toe footwear is mandatory, and photography is not allowed to preserve the environment. Reservations can be made via our trip calendar, with a minimum of 2 participants required.
