Despite its modest size of 205 square miles, the park is renowned for its stunning landscapes, lush acacia forests, towering fig and mahogany trees, and a thriving population of baboons and blue monkeys. The park is also home to giraffes, elephants, impalas, and a large number of buffaloes. The lake itself hosts numerous hippos. Unique features of this park include tree-climbing lions, flamingos along the lake shore, as well as the Ground Hornbill and the Crested Eagle. The breathtaking landscapes of Lake Manyara offer unparalleled photo opportunities, with giraffes and buffaloes set against the backdrop of the lake and its flamingos.
Mto wa Mbu - Additional tours such as a bike tour or a boat excursion are available during the day. In the afternoon, transfer to the camp for a delightful dinner.
Ngorongoro Crater
Ngorongoro Crater - Recognized as one of the Natural Wonders of the World, Ngorongoro Crater spans 102 square miles with walls reaching 2,000 feet high, creating a natural sanctuary for nearly every species of wildlife native to East Africa. It is one of the few places on the continent where the black rhino can be observed. The crater boasts the highest concentration of African wildlife, featuring a river, several swamps, a soda lake teeming with flamingos, a forest, and open plains. It is also famous for its elephants, which are the largest in the world with enormous tusks, thanks to the mineral-rich volcanic soil and grasses. Ngorongoro Crater is truly a marvel of the natural world.
Serengeti National Park (Central)
Serengeti National Park - After an early breakfast, set off for the world-renowned Serengeti National Park. As you journey deeper into the Serengeti, you’ll understand why its name means “endless plains” in the local language. Covering 6,900 square miles (18,000 square kilometers), the plains stretch to the horizon, challenging your senses and perception of distance. It is the site of the Great Migration, home to 2 million wildebeests, hundreds of thousands of zebras, and various antelopes, including the plentiful impalas and Thomson’s gazelles. For big cats and large predators, it’s the ideal place to spot lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas, with many iconic scenes like the famous river crossings filmed here. Smaller animals such as foxes, mongooses, honey badgers, jackals, monkeys, baboons, rock hyraxes, and African hares, along with over 500 bird species, also inhabit this park.
Serengeti National Park (Central)
Serengeti National Park - Spend a full day in Serengeti National Park. The itinerary is flexible and can be tailored to your preferences. Each day, your guide will discuss the best schedule for you, including game drives and wake-up times. For instance, you might opt for a morning game drive, return to camp for lunch and relaxation, and then enjoy an afternoon game drive, or choose a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch.
Serengeti National Park - An additional tour recommendation: a spectacular balloon flight over the Serengeti plains.
Serengeti National Park following the Great Migration
Migration at Serengeti National Park - Over these two remarkable days, explore remote areas within the expansive Serengeti plains in pursuit of the Great Migration. The locations visited depend on the time of year and could range from the remote North near the Kenyan border to the South (Ndutu Area) or even the Western part of the park.
Depending on the season, this day will be spent in a different section of the park (South, North, or West).
If preferred, a flight can be arranged between the two areas of the Serengeti, offering the experience of flying over the park and reducing transfer time.

Flying Out of the Serengeti
Serengeti National Park - On this day, an early wake-up is recommended to enjoy a morning game drive when the animals are most active and witness one of the most stunning sunrises imaginable. After the game drive, return to camp for a satisfying brunch before heading to the airstrip for your flight back to Arusha or your next exciting destination, such as Zanzibar. Alternatively, you may choose to relax at the camp instead of the early morning game drive.
If desired, the tour can be adjusted to exclude the flight from Serengeti, with the itinerary redesigned to conclude at Ngorongoro, completing the journey by 4WD.
