A Journey Begins: The Call of the Serengeti

As a wildlife photographer, the call of the Serengeti is one I cannot resist. The allure of witnessing the Great Migration, a spectacle of nature that draws thousands of wildebeest across the plains, is a dream for many. This year, I decided to embark on the Tanzania Special and immerse myself in the heart of this breathtaking event. The journey began in Arusha, a vibrant town that serves as the gateway to Tanzania’s northern safari circuit. The anticipation was palpable as I arrived at the Pazuri Inn Lodge, where the adventure would officially commence.

The first leg of the journey took me to Tarangire National Park, a place renowned for its elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. As the sun rose, painting the sky in hues of orange and pink, I found myself on a game drive, camera in hand, ready to capture the essence of the wild. The park was alive with the sounds of nature, and the sight of elephants bathing in the Tarangire River was a moment I knew I would cherish forever.
