Kilimanjaro to Arusha

Upon your arrival, you will be greeted by your guide at Kilimanjaro International Airport, who will accompany you to your lodge in Arusha town for some well-deserved relaxation. Arusha serves as the gateway to the Northern tourist circuit of Tanzania. Our guides, being local Tanzanians, are extremely knowledgeable about the country, ensuring you are well taken care of from the moment you arrive until your departure.

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park - Your adventure begins today! After enjoying breakfast at your lodge, your driver-guide will pick you up for a journey to Tarangire National Park. This less frequented area is unique because, during the dry season, it becomes part of the wildebeest migratory route and ranks second only to Ngorongoro Crater in terms of wildlife concentration. Tarangire National Park is home to over 500 bird species. Thousands of thirsty animals gather at the watering holes, while many others make their way to the permanent waters of the Tarangire River.

Tarangire to Mto wa Mbu

Mto wa Mbu - After breakfast today, you will visit a nearby school to donate sanitary pads for the schoolgirls. Following the school visit, you will head to the lively town of Mto wa Mbu for a tuk-tuk ride and enjoy a local Tanzanian lunch. Later, you will drive to your lodge in Karatu.

Karatu to Serengeti National Park

Ngorongoro Conservation Area - After an early morning breakfast, you will drive to Ngorongoro Crater for a tour. The Ngorongoro Crater, spanning just 10 miles wide, was formed from a collapsed volcano and now supports a self-sustaining ecosystem with the highest density of lions in a small area. After lunch, you will drive to the Serengeti, arriving at Into the Wild Tented Camp before nightfall, on a full board basis. The transit time from Ngorongoro to Serengeti is approximately 3 hours.

Full Day Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park - Enjoy a full day of game drives in Serengeti National Park. The landscape features a sea of waving grass, dotted with flat-top umbrella trees and rock outcrops, which serve as lioness breeding grounds. The rivers and waterholes are sites of dramatic interactions between predators and herbivores. Return to your tented camp for an overnight stay at Into Wild Africa Tented Camps on a full board basis.

Serengeti National Park to Karatu

Serengeti National Park - After breakfast, continue with a morning game drive in Serengeti National Park, followed by an afternoon drive to Karatu.

Karatu to Lake Manyara National Park to Kilimanjaro Airport

Kilimanjaro Region - After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive. Known for its tree-climbing lions, Lake Manyara offers a variety of scenic landscapes. Drive through the enchanting forest where baboons, blue monkeys, and vervet monkeys provide entertainment. Keep an eye out for hippos and giraffes along the lake shore! After lunch, proceed to Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight back home.
