Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park - Guests will be picked up from a designated location in Arusha and will set off with a picnic lunch for an afternoon and evening game drive in Tarangire National Park. The park is renowned for its numerous baobab trees, which are sure to capture your attention. The park is named after the Tarangire River, which originates in the highlands of Central Tanzania and meanders through the wildlife sanctuary. Thousands of animals migrate from as far north as the shores of Lake Natron to the riverbanks, significantly increasing the resident population with wildebeest, zebra, eland, elephant, hartebeest, buffalo, and fringe-eared oryx. During the dry season, the Tarangire pools are crowded with thirsty migrants, and elephants begin to dig for underground streams in the dry riverbed. Tarangire National Park is reputed to have the highest number of breeding bird species recorded for any habitat worldwide.

Tarangire National Park to Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park - After breakfast, the journey continues to Serengeti via the Ngorongoro Crater highlands, with a visit to the historic site of Olduvai Gorge (The Cradle of Mankind), where the renowned archaeologist, Dr. Leakey, discovered early human remains. The Serengeti is arguably the most impressive wildlife sanctuary globally. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the 7th wonder of the world, and the oldest national park. After exploring the site and its small museum, the journey proceeds to central Serengeti. An afternoon game drive in the vast plains of the Serengeti offers the chance to witness the great herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles or a pride of lions resting in the shade.

Olduvai Gorge Museum - Visit the historic site of Olduvai Gorge (The Cradle of Mankind), where the renowned archaeologist, Dr. Leakey, discovered early human remains.

Lake Manyara - Stop by the Rift Valley escarpment in Lake Manyara, where you can enjoy spectacular views of the lake and the park itself.

Serengeti National Park– Ngorongoro Crater

Serengeti National Park - Embark on an early sunrise game drive around Seronera, then return to the camp around 10 am for a full breakfast and lunch. Afterward, depart the park with a game drive en route to the Ngorongoro Crater Rim.

Ngorongoro Crater Tour - Back to Arusha

Ngorongoro Conservation Area - After breakfast, descend to the Crater floor for a game drive. Ngorongoro Crater is the largest collapsed volcanic crater in the world, spanning fourteen kilometers of isolated natural beauty. It is encircled by a ring of extinct volcanoes, and its floor, dotted with watering holes, is home to approximately 30,000 animals. Expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, and numerous birds. Birds observed here include eagles, vultures, flamingos in the Crater Lake, storks, bats, giant vultures, sacred ibis, kori bustards, blacksmith plovers, long-necked herons, and cattle eagles. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed at the hippo pool. Ascend to the rim and depart for Kilimanjaro Airport, where the tour concludes. As it will be evening, there may be an opportunity to view Mount Kilimanjaro if the weather is clear and cloud-free.
