Day 1: Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park - Our expert tour guides will greet you at the hotel and provide a briefing about the tour. You will journey to Tarangire, a hidden gem on the Northern circuit. Often overshadowed by the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire boasts significant concentrations of wildlife during peak months and attracts fewer visitors compared to other Northern parks. From July to October, the game viewing is exceptional, offering a unique atmosphere and habitat distinct from other parks. The park’s rare treasures include dwarf mongoose, Oryx, and gerenuk, though sightings are uncommon. Tarangire is also one of Tanzania’s premier bird-watching destinations.
The primary activity in Tarangire is daytime game driving, but staying outside the park allows for walking and night safaris. There are no boat safaris on the Tarangire River. After an extensive game drive, enjoyed from the open roof of the vehicle, you will exit the park and head to a nearby campsite for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater - Arusha
Ngorongoro Crater - After enjoying a delightful breakfast, you will set off for the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Any visit to Northern Tanzania must include the Ngorongoro Crater, renowned as one of the most stunning natural wildlife safari locations globally and an exceptional place to engage with the Masaai tribe.
The Ngorongoro Crater and its surrounding highlands form one of Africa’s most picturesque regions. Volcanic craters provide breathtaking backdrops to some of Africa’s most fertile and rich grazing lands. The most renowned crater is undoubtedly the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, home to the highest density of big game in Africa, including the Big Five and numerous predators. Ngorongoro is the prime location in Tanzania to observe the Big Five. A thriving population of black rhino and some of the largest tusker elephants remaining in Africa today are the highlights, but the Crater also hosts strong populations of lion, leopard, and hyena, along with substantial herds of wildebeest, buffalo, and zebra. Other wildlife in Ngorongoro includes serval cat, cheetah, jackal, Grant’s and Thompson’s gazelle, flamingo, and bat-eared foxes.
You will enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater and continue the game drive afterward. Later in the afternoon, you will ascend the steep walls of the crater to return to Arusha.
