Arusha to Ngorongoro Crater
Ngorongoro Crater - Following breakfast, the group will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for an exhilarating game drive. After the game drive, guests will be transported back to the lodge in Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.
The Ngorongoro Crater is the largest intact caldera globally and one of Africa’s natural marvels. It hosts around 30,000 large mammals, including buffaloes, lions, elephants, cheetahs, and rhinos, along with a diverse array of bird species such as flamingos, eagles, and buzzards. Prepare for an extraordinary wildlife adventure, offering the chance to observe numerous animals in a brief period.
Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park - Upon arrival at the airport, guests will receive a warm welcome and be transported to Tarangire National Park. Here, they will embark on an exciting day-long game drive, enjoying a picnic lunch along the way. In the evening, the group will travel to Mto wa Mbu for dinner and an overnight stay.
Located slightly off the main safari route, Tarangire National Park is a peaceful treasure in Northern Tanzania, celebrated for its elephant migration, outstanding birdwatching opportunities, and tranquil, authentic safari atmosphere. Unfortunately, many travelers often overlook Tarangire or spend only a few hours in the park, leaving much of its wilderness largely unexplored.
Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha
Lake Manyara National Park - After a restful night’s sleep, guests will begin what is often referred to as the “day of the lions”. Following an early breakfast and check-out, they will head to Lake Manyara National Park. Spanning approximately 330 km², with about 200 km² becoming a lake during high water, the park offers a remarkable variety of wildlife. From large flocks of pink flamingos adorning the shoreline to close encounters with majestic bull elephants, Lake Manyara is abundant in both animal and bird species. A highlight of this unique ecosystem is the renowned tree-climbing lions, one of its rarest sights.
After the game drive through the lush groundwater forest and open plains, the journey back to Arusha will commence in the mid-afternoon. Guests will return with hearts full and cameras brimming with unforgettable memories from their East African safari, and will be dropped off at their hotel in Arusha.
