Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park - After a hearty breakfast at your hotel, our personal safari guide will pick you up for an early morning departure to Tarangire National Park, traversing the gently rolling Maasai plains. The drive typically takes 2 to 3 hours. Tarangire National Park is renowned for its elephant population and iconic baobab trees, as well as a diverse array of other wildlife. Enjoy a delightful lunch at a picnic area in Tarangire. From the open roof of our safari jeep, you can witness the seasonal swamps, savanna, and the life-giving Tarangire River, encountering a variety of creatures such as antelopes, zebras, elephants, wildebeests, buffaloes, and giraffes, along with predators like lions and leopards. After an extensive game drive, we will head to a lodge in Karatu village for dinner and an overnight stay.
Lake Manyara National Park
Lake Manyara National Park - Following breakfast at your hotel, our journey to Lake Manyara National Park reveals a scenic tapestry of diverse landscapes. This relatively small yet diverse park is named after the shallow salt lake that covers about seventy percent of its surface area. The soda lake, which floods and dries with the seasons, is home to thousands of flamingos and over 500 bird species. During our exploration, you will have the opportunity to see monkeys, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, wildebeests, and more. The park is also famous for its tree-climbing lions. The game drive offers unique perspectives on the transition from urban to wild, preparing us for incredible wildlife encounters within this enchanting realm. In the evening, you will be driven back to your hotel in Karatu Village.
Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park - After breakfast at the hotel, our journey from Karatu to the Serengeti is a captivating transition, taking approximately 4 hours. The drive itself is a game drive, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where wildlife sightings are frequent. Expect to see zebras, wildebeests, and perhaps predators even before reaching the Serengeti. As we enter the southern Serengeti, the landscape opens into vast plains, ideal for spotting wildlife. This area is famous for the calving arena for wildebeests during the migration season (December to mid-February), where massive herds of wildebeests and zebras gather. The open plains offer exceptional game viewing with clear sights of lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and more. You will enjoy lunch in Serengeti National Park and, in the evening, be driven to your camp in the Serengeti for an overnight stay and dinner.
Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park - After breakfast, we will transport you to the heart of this iconic wilderness. This day is dedicated to wildlife, with every mile revealing a new spectacle. Expect to encounter prides of lions, cheetahs poised for the hunt, and graceful giraffes against the acacia-dotted horizon. The game drive in Central Serengeti encompasses grasslands, woodlands, and riverine areas, offering abundant wildlife encounters. Be prepared for thrilling predator action, as this region boasts a high concentration of big cats. You will enjoy a delicious lunch in the Serengeti picnic area and, in the evening, be driven back to your camp.
Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park - After breakfast at your camp (if it’s not migration season), expect to see the Big Five, giraffes, elephants, and a myriad of birdlife. The central Serengeti’s diverse landscapes promise a rich tapestry of wildlife. We will explore Kopjes, where leopards often seek refuge, and riverbanks where hippos wallow and crocodiles lurk. This will be your last day and night in Serengeti National Park, and you will overnight at Serengeti Semetu Camp.
Ngorongoro Conservation Area (Ngorongoro Crater)
Ngorongoro Conservation Area - Our journey from the Serengeti to the Ngorongoro Crater is a day of captivating transitions. We’ll begin with a final game drive through the heart of the Serengeti, savoring its vast plains and diverse wildlife. Upon first sight, the Ngorongoro Crater appears as a forgotten world. Concealed by steep volcanic walls is a pristine wilderness, including sweeping savannahs, pockets of acacia woodland, and glistening lakes and swamps—a landscape of dramatic shifts, offering glimpses of wildlife amidst stunning scenery. Descending into the Ngorongoro Crater itself, a natural wonder, we’ll embark on an extraordinary game drive within its caldera. This enclosed ecosystem teems with life, from rare black rhinos to large herds of zebras, wildebeests, and a high concentration of predators. In the late afternoon, we will drive back to Arusha town for dinner and an overnight stay.
