Arrival in Arusha

Arusha - Upon reaching Kilimanjaro International Airport, guests will be greeted and transported to Gran Melia Arusha for an overnight stay with breakfast included. For those arriving early, a town tour can be arranged to explore various local attractions.

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park - After breakfast, guests will be collected from the hotel by their safari guide and driven to Tarangire National Park to enjoy the wildlife. Overnight accommodation will be at Elewana Tarangire Treetop Lodge, with breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided. Daily drinking water will be available per person. Tarangire National Park spans nearly 3000 sq km and is renowned for its large elephant populations and baobab trees. The park is named after the Tarangire River, which flows through it. During the dry season (June - November), the park is particularly impressive as wildlife congregates around the river, the only water source, rivaling the Serengeti in animal concentrations. The park’s diverse habitats and the permanent water of the Tarangire River support over 2000 elephants and 500 bird species.

Tarangire National Park to Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park - After breakfast, guests will head to Serengeti National Park with a picnic lunch. An afternoon game drive will be enjoyed before proceeding to Serengeti Four Season Lodge. Meals including breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided, along with daily drinking water per person. Serengeti National Park is the world’s last great wildlife refuge, home to an estimated three million large animals, many of which participate in a seasonal migration, a natural wonder. The park covers 14,763 sq km, and its name, Serengeti, is derived from the Maasai word ‘Siringet’, meaning endless plains.

Serengeti National Park Full Day

Serengeti National Park - 1st Activity: Guests will be picked up from their accommodation at 04:30 AM by Balloon operators and taken to the Balloon Flying Centre for a flight around 05:00 AM. The balloon trip across Serengeti Park, guided by an expert, will last about 3 hours, concluding at the visitor’s center around 09:30 AM. Participants will receive a certificate for completing the trip and can take photos during the flight.

2nd Activity: After reaching the visitor’s center, guests will enjoy a full Bush breakfast. Subsequently, a driver will pick them up for a game drive across Serengeti National Park in an open Jeep. Lunch will be at noon (02:00 PM), followed by more exploration, with an overnight stay at Four Seasons Serengeti.

Serengeti National Park Full Day

Serengeti National Park - After breakfast, guests will spend a full day exploring different parts of the Serengeti. Overnight accommodation will be at Serengeti Four Season Lodge, with breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided. Daily drinking water will be available per person. The Central Serengeti offers excellent game viewing year-round due to its abundance of resident animals. The Seronera River Valley in the Central Serengeti is a must-see on any safari, regardless of the travel month. Game viewing is particularly rewarding during the dry season (June - November) as resident animals concentrate in the area due to the lack of water on the plains. Resident herbivores include impalas, buffalos, hippos, warthogs, topi, hartebeests, and giraffes, while resident carnivores include lions and leopards.

Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater

Serengeti National Park - Guests will enjoy a half-day game drive in the Serengeti before heading to the rim of Ngorongoro Crater for an overnight stay at Ngorongoro Melia Lodge. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided, along with daily drinking water per person. Several resident lion prides are documented within a one-hour game drive radius from Seronera. During the dry season, these prides shift west and north, concentrating in the central region of the park, making it an excellent time for lion viewing. The Central Serengeti is also one of the best places in Africa to spot the elusive leopard, often found in the branches of sausage trees along the Seronera River.

Ngorongoro Crater-Arusha City

Ngorongoro Conservation Area - At 6:30 a.m., after breakfast, guests will descend into the crater for a game tour. Later, they will return to Arusha and proceed to Kilimanjaro International Airport for their flight home. Breakfast and lunch will be provided, along with daily drinking water per person. Often referred to as the Eighth Natural Wonder of the World, the Ngorongoro Crater is the largest intact crater globally. Approximately 2 million years ago, the Ngorongoro volcano erupted, causing its walls to collapse and the floor to sink, creating a natural enclosure with 600m tall walls. Now, over 19 kilometers wide, the crater is filled with acacia forests, hippo-filled swamps, and open grasslands, home to over 30,000 animals, including elephants, warthogs, flamingoes, diverse birdlife, the rare black rhinoceros, and all the predatory cats. The Maasai can also be seen grazing their cattle alongside buffalos and wildebeests.
