Arriving in Arusha

Arusha - The driver guide will be ready to greet you warmly at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, welcoming you to Tanzania. Following this, you will be transported to Arusha to relax at Planet Lodge, where you can anticipate the exciting reveal the next day.

Arusha to Tarangire

Tarangire National Park - After breakfast, you will meet our representative who will provide an overview of your Tanzanian safari. You will then journey to Tarangire National Park, which spans over 2,600 square kilometers (1,000 square miles), making it the sixth-largest national park in Tanzania. The park is renowned for its large elephant herds, baobab trees, and tree-climbing pythons. After enjoying lunch at the lodge, an afternoon game drive awaits. Relish the first day of your wildlife adventure, returning to the lodge in the evening.

Serengeti

Serengeti National Park - Post breakfast, travel through the Olduvai Gorge and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area en route to Serengeti National Park. Covering 14,763 square kilometers (5,700 square miles), the park features rivers, forests, woodlands, grasslands, plains, and savannahs. Located in the north, it borders the Masai Mara National Reserve between Tanzania and Kenya. Upon arrival, enjoy a game drive through the Serengeti Central Areas, followed by dinner and an overnight stay at Central Serengeti Luxury Camp.

Serengeti National Park - Spend the morning exploring the expansive Serengeti plains, then enjoy a picnic lunch in the park around 1:30 pm. Continue the game drive until dusk. The Serengeti is famed for the annual migration across its vast savannahs, showcasing thousands of animals, predominantly wildebeest. Besides wildebeest, the park is home to cheetahs, leopards, and lions, some of which remain on the central plain or migrate. Return to Central Serengeti Luxury Camps for dinner and an overnight stay.

Serengeti National Park - After a morning of wildlife viewing on the Serengeti plains, have a picnic lunch in the park around 1:30 pm. Continue the game drive until nightfall. The Serengeti is renowned for the annual migration across its expansive savannahs, featuring thousands of animals, mainly wildebeest. In addition to wildebeest, the park hosts cheetahs, leopards, and lions, some of which stay on the central plain or migrate. Return to Central Serengeti Luxury Camps for dinner and an overnight stay.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro

Serengeti National Park - After breakfast, travel from the Serengeti to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest unbroken caldera, is a World Heritage Site. The crater is surrounded by 600-meter (2,000 feet) high cliffs, descending into an open area of about 246 square kilometers (95 square miles). Among the herds of zebra and wildebeest, you may spot elephants, lions, and possibly the rare black rhino. Later, head to Rhino Lodge on the crater rim for an overnight stay.

Ngorongoro Crater

Ngorongoro Conservation Area - Depart at 6:00 am after breakfast for a six to seven-hour game drive in the crater. On the crater floor, encounter the local community living in this World Heritage Site and enjoy a picnic lunch. The Ngorongoro Crater offers excellent game viewing year-round, with abundant grazing and water supporting a permanent wildlife population. Return to Farm of Dreams Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Lake Manyara

Lake Manyara National Park - Lake Manyara in Tanzania is a freshwater lake, home to thousands of bird species at various times of the year. Flamingoes create a shimmering pink zone along the lakeshore. Other birds include ostriches, egrets, herons, pelicans, and storks. This is the park’s most striking landscape! Depending on the time available, enjoy a full-day game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. In the evening, head to Arusha Planet Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Arusha to Kilimanjaro

Arusha - After breakfast at the lodge, depart for Arusha on your final day in Tanzania. You will then be transported to Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport according to your flight schedule, ensuring you catch your flight home.
