Journey from Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park - Following an early breakfast, you will set off for Tarangire National Park. The journey will take you through Arusha city and into Maasai territory, where you can observe Maasai herding cattle and goats. Enjoy a game drive through the park, which spans 2,850 km² and is renowned for its large elephant herds, some numbering over 100, and the iconic baobab trees that dot the landscape. You will then proceed to your accommodation for a night under the clear and sparkling African night sky.
From Tarangire to Lake Manyara National Park
Lake Manyara National Park - After an early breakfast, you will head to Lake Manyara National Park for a morning game drive. The park’s beauty begins at the entrance, with a drive through lush forest, open grassland, and finally reaching the lake’s edge. For wildlife enthusiasts, the park is a paradise, teeming with endemic species and diverse birdlife. Expect to see animals such as elephants, hippos, impalas, dik-diks, bushbucks, and, if fortunate, the famous tree-climbing lions of Manyara. You will return to the camp for a hot lunch, followed by local activities at Mto Wa Mbu, such as a bike ride to the lake or a walking safari to the village to experience local culture and sample local products. This short adventure concludes with a tuk-tuk ride back to the camp, where a driver will be ready to transfer you to your accommodation for the night.
Exploring Ngorongoro Crater
Ngorongoro Crater - Enjoy an early breakfast before departing for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for a full-day crater tour. Descending into the crater is a fantastic experience, offering stunning scenery and majestic wildlife. At a depth of 610 meters and a floor area of 260 km², the crater is recognized as one of Africa’s natural wonders. On a clear day, you can see the entire crater wall from the bottom. Known as Mother Nature’s zoo, the crater is home to approximately 25,000 large animals, including the rare black rhino. Lunch will be at a picnic site with a view of hippos relaxing in the lake’s shallow waters, followed by another game drive en route to the camp. Along the way, you will have the opportunity for a short safari walk, enjoying the landscape and the chance to see local Maasai homes.
From Ngorongoro to Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park - After breakfast, you will depart for Serengeti National Park. The park features grassland savanna, riverine forest, and woodlands, each offering a picturesque landscape. Renowned for its rich wildlife diversity, the park is most famous for the annual migration, a spectacular event where thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and antelopes cross the Mara River into Maasai Mara, battling the river’s currents and numerous crocodiles. There will be a stop at the crater viewpoint, offering views of the entire crater on a clear day, before continuing with a game drive en route to your accommodation. An optional visit to the Maasai Bomas (homes) located within the Ngorongoro plains is available for a chance to experience Maasai culture.
A Full Day in Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park - Spend a full day on a game drive exploring the vast Serengeti and its diverse offerings. Enjoy the different habitats within the park, home to various animals such as lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, elephants, hippos, impalas, zebras, wildebeest, Grant’s gazelles, Thomson’s gazelles, and many more. The Serengeti is also celebrated for its birdlife, with a variety of bird species adding color and sound to the park. The park’s immense size and changing scenery make it a memorable day for any visitor to this iconic part of Tanzania.
