Inaugurated in 1994, the Cultural Heritage Centre is a pioneering establishment in Africa, dedicated to celebrating and exploring the rich cultural treasures of African heritage. This family-owned operation is the fruit of relentless efforts, unwavering dedication and generational knowledge. The capable managing director at the forefront of the organisation is Mr. Saifuddin Khanbhai, whose profound understanding of African culture and traditions forms the backbone of the Centre’s operation. The Cultural Heritage Centre has gained a legendary status owing to the distinctive structure of the buildings on its premises and its possession of a rich trove of African art, thereby keeping African artistic tradition alive. The primary building is architecturally styled to mirror the Uhuru Peak of Kilimanjaro and flaunts a remarkable array of arts and crafts that include unique masks, Verdite carvings, and artworks from renowned African sculptors. On its premises, the Cultural Heritage Centre now proudly presents an awe-inspiring Art Gallery built as a testament to the director’s vision of fostering local artistic talent.
