Arusha Region - Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, a driver will greet you and transport you to your hotel in Arusha for dinner and an overnight stay at Arusha Coffee Lodge or a similar accommodation.
Arusha National Park
Arusha National Park - Spend a day exploring Arusha National Park, a small yet remarkable park featuring ancient volcanoes, wildlife-rich craters, grasslands, lush forests, and alkaline lakes. Enjoy the Arusha National Park Waterfall Walk by heading into the foothills of Mount Meru with a park ranger and guide, following a gentle uphill trail to the Tulutuluisia Waterfall. From this vantage point, you can admire the park’s diverse landscapes.
Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park - Visit the baobab-filled Tarangire National Park, known for its diverse wildlife and unique charm. In addition to its own migration of wildebeest, zebra, elephant, gazelle, and antelope, Tarangire is home to over 550 bird species and some rare mammals, such as the fringe-eared oryx and the African wild dog. Traditional Games for Kids Children can learn traditional Tanzanian games like “Rede” (similar to dodgeball) or “Bao” (a strategic board game) among others. Footprint Identifying Learn to distinguish between the footprints of a dik-dik and a Thomson’s gazelle, or a leopard and a lion. A guide will lead a walk to teach the tricks of identifying wildlife signs. With millions of stars overhead and a gentle evening breeze, relax by the fire and enjoy the pristine surroundings.

Lake Manyara National Park
Lake Manyara National Park - This stunning park is one of Tanzania’s most dramatically situated wildlife areas, featuring a vast but shallow soda lake (covering two-thirds of the park) at the base of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. The park’s varied habitat attracts a wide range of animals, including one of Africa’s largest elephant populations, Manyara’s renowned tree-climbing lions, and large flocks of flamingos drawn by the lake’s algae.
Ngorongoro Crater National Park
Ngorongoro Conservation Area - After breakfast, descend 600m into this magnificent crater for a morning, half-day game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely populated African wildlife areas globally, home to an estimated 30,000 animals, including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhinos. Supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro Crater hosts a vast array of animals, including herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another major attraction of this picturesque national park is its dense predator population, including lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater.
Central & Northern Serengeti Game Drive
Serengeti National Park - Wildlife Viewing En Route to a designated accommodation Enjoy the journey to your designated accommodation, as there will be plenty to see along the way. Perhaps you will witness a chase between predator and prey; maybe you will spot a wake of vultures, or perhaps you will be fortunate enough to find a leopard relaxing high in the limbs of an acacia tree. Visit Olduvai Gorge Make a brief stop at Olduvai Gorge, a deep ravine and site of fossilized remains of animals and hominids dating back two million years. A short lecture and small museum tour are included. Optional Serengeti Balloon Excursion A pre-dawn wake-up call allows time to drive to the balloon launch site to catch the most dramatic light. Then take to the skies just as the sun rises. Glide over the plains and acacia treetops, taking in spectacular views of the Seronera River Valley and the surrounding plains. After your descent, enjoy a magnificent champagne breakfast right in the midst of the Serengeti wilderness. Full-Day of Wildlife Viewing in the Serengeti Spend the entire day wildlife viewing. Your guide will point out hidden animals, like a leopard hiding in a tree or a lion concealed by tall grass. Traditional Games In your downtime, ask your guide how to play the traditional game of Bao. Explore Camp with Your Guide For those who opt not to take the balloon excursion, there is much to discover within arm’s reach of the camp; learn how to identify animal footprints and bird calls with your guide.
Eastern Serengeti Game Drive
Serengeti National Park - Morning Hike in the Eastern Serengeti Ecosystem Head out on a light hike this morning. The terrain will be fairly mild, but ensure you have comfortable shoes with good traction. Being out on the plains on foot at this time of day is magical. Wildlife Viewing as You Depart the Serengeti As you follow the meandering path out of Serengeti National Park, take in the gorgeous scenery and wildlife viewing before moving on to the next part of your adventure. Maasai Boma Visit Immerse yourself in the semi-nomadic culture of the Maasai by visiting a boma, a settlement of circular mud-and-dung Maasai homes. Many Maasai still roam the plains of northern Tanzania with their herds of cattle, maintaining their traditions while adapting to new ways of life. Maasai Storyteller Gather around the campfire to listen to a Maasai elder tell folktales, which are translated into English. The story is not planned in advance, and you will hear it exactly as it is traditionally told.

‘Northern Circuit’ safari of northern Tanzania offers some of the world’s most diverse safari experiences, consisting of National Parks, game reserves, conservation areas and private concessions. Among these are the world-famous and iconic Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater, and of course their less well-known neighbours, Tarangire National Park and Lake Manyara National Park.
These parks exist for one general purpose and that is to protect the amazing variety and abundance of wildlife in them, both resident and seasonal - and most of all, the world’s largest annual migration of wildebeest and zebra. Although this part of the world has become increasingly busy as a result of its reputation, it is still possible to escape the crowds and find a quiet corner if you know where to go.
