As you enter the park, the road meanders through a groundwater forest where baboon troops can be seen along the roadside and in the trees. On the grassy shores of the lake, wildebeest, giraffes, zebras, and large buffaloes can be observed grazing. The mahogany and acacia trees are home to the renowned tree-climbing lions, and with some luck, you might spot them lounging on a tree branch.
