DAY 1: ARUSHA TO TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
Tarangire National Park - A representative will greet the group at the hotel in Arusha for a brief orientation before departing to Tarangire National Park with a packed lunch. The journey to Tarangire National Park takes you along a well-maintained tarmac road through gently rolling Maasai plains dotted with acacia trees. Along the way, you will see many Maasai in their vibrant attire walking along the roadside, riding bicycles, herding cattle, and driving donkey carts. Tarangire National Park is renowned for its large elephant herds and is home to a diverse array of wildlife. From the open roof of a modern safari jeep, you will explore the seasonal swamps, savanna, and the life-sustaining Tarangire River, aiming to spot a variety of animals, including zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, elephants, and giraffes. You might even catch a glimpse of lions stalking their prey or leopards lounging in the trees above.
DAY 2: KARATU TO SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Serengeti National Park - The anticipation is high as you journey to the world-renowned Serengeti National Park. After enjoying a hearty breakfast, you will set off towards the Serengeti, traveling through the vast, endless grasslands. The name Serengeti means “endless plains” in the local African language, and witnessing the grasslands stretch to the horizon, merging with the sky, is truly breathtaking. The Serengeti is home to the magnificent “Big 5” (elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion, and leopard). In addition to the “Big 5,” you may also spot one of Africa’s most beautiful animals, the Impala. A picnic lunch will be served during the game drive. The exciting day concludes with a hearty dinner and a restful night’s sleep at the Serengeti Kati Kati Tented Camp.
DAYS 3 & 4: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK TO NDUTU AREA
Serengeti National Park - After breakfast, you will depart with packed lunches to the Ndutu area, where you will spend two days. Ndutu is part of the route for the annual migration of over 2 million wildebeests and thousands of zebras, antelopes, and gazelles. During game drives in the optimal season between December and April, you can witness the fertile plains transforming into calving grounds and nurseries for the great migration. The thrilling game drive will conclude late in the evening around 6 pm. You will then proceed to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay at Ndutu Mobile - Tanzania Bush Camps.
DAY 5: NDUTU AREA TO NGORONGORO CRATER
Ngorongoro Conservation Area - After an early breakfast, you will depart from the Ndutu area to Ngorongoro and descend into the crater floor for an extraordinary morning of wildlife viewing in one of the most breathtaking places on Earth. Following the game drive, there will be time for a picnic lunch near the picturesque hippo lake. After lunch, there will be a short game drive before ascending the crater and heading to your lodge in Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay at Bougainvillea Safari Lodge.
DAY 6: KARATU TO KILIMANJARO AIRPORT
Karatu - After breakfast, you will depart from the Karatu area and drive to Arusha, where you will have lunch before being dropped off at Kilimanjaro Airport for your onward flight.
