- Monastery Sevanavank - Sevanavank Monastery is a monastic complex situated on a peninsula on the northwestern shore of Lake Sevan. Originally, the monastery was constructed on the southern shore of a small island. Following the artificial draining of Lake Sevan, initiated during Joseph Stalin’s era, the water level dropped by about 20 meters, turning the island into a peninsula. An inscription in one of the churches states that the Sevanavank Monastery was established in 874 by Princess Mariam, daughter of Ashot I (who became king a decade later). At that time, Armenia was still striving to liberate itself from Arab rule.
- Haghartsin Monastery - Haghartsin Monastery is a 13th-century monastery located near the town of Dilijan in the Tavush Province of Armenia. It was constructed between the 10th and 13th centuries, with significant contributions in the 12th century under Khachatur of Taron, largely supported by the Bagratuni Dynasty.
