This modern city boasts a rich historical and cultural heritage. Built amphitheatrically, it offers views of the Koutavos Lagoon and the fir-covered Aenos. Visitors can witness Catavothres, a rare phenomenon where large volumes of seawater enter the land at Agii Theodori in Lassi and reappear near the village of Karavomylos by Sami.
- Katavothres - At Katavothres, seawater flows into cracks near the shore, disappearing along an underground path across the island. It then moves towards the Lighthouse of Saint Theodore, which, two centuries ago, guided ships safely past the rocks.
- Lassi - Lassi is renowned for its natural beauty, vibrant nightlife, and excellent tourist facilities, including the well-organized beaches of Makris Gialos and Platis Gialos.

- Orealios Gaea - Vine Growers of Robola - Located in the “Omala” valley, the Robola Wine Cooperative of Kefalonia invites visitors to explore the Museum of Robola, enjoy complimentary wine tastings, and purchase from a diverse selection of wines.
- Monastery of Agios Gerasimos - The Holy Monastery of St. Gerasimos, situated in the “Omala” valley, attracts thousands of devotees twice a year to venerate the relics of Saint Gerasimos and pray. The Saint is credited with numerous miracles, and the setting is deeply spiritual.
- Drogarati Cave - Drogaratti Cave, near Sami, is one of the largest and most stunning natural attractions. Archaeologists estimate its age at over 100 million years. The cave descends about 60 meters, maintaining an average temperature of 18°C and high humidity (90%).

- Agia Efimia - The charming village of Agia Efimia is a tranquil town with wide streets and excellent urban planning. Its port welcomes numerous yachts from around the world during summer.
- Myrtos Beach - The renowned Myrtos Beach offers a breathtaking view from above. Known for its white pebble beach contrasting with the sea’s varying shades and the dark green forests, it consistently earns the blue flag and is well-equipped for visitors.
- Assos - Assos is nestled amphitheatrically around a peninsula, surrounded by lush landscapes. The village preserves its traditional Ionian architecture, where tall pines and cypress trees meet the blue Ionian Sea, creating a naturally idyllic scene.
- Fiscardo - Fiskardo, an old fishing village untouched by the 1953 earthquake, is now a premier tourist destination in Greece. It boasts excellent tourist amenities, including restaurants, cafes, and bars, with a harbor filled with yachts. Fiskardo is celebrated for its traditional architecture and cosmopolitan port. It is the birthplace of the renowned sea poet, Nikos Kavvadias. A stroll through the village offers unique glimpses of aristocratic Kefalonia, with 18th-century mansions, narrow streets, and vibrant harbor life, reminiscent of a painting.
