Here, move through an artificially created tunnel to embark on a picturesque trip, aboard a diminutive rowboat, encircling the grand stalactite-filled cavern. It was here where ancient artefacts of a former Minoan culture - including depictions of the deity Pan and several nymphs - were discovered. Continue your expedition to the awe-inspiring Drogarati Cave, positioned almost 200 feet beneath the surface. Unearthed 300 years ago following an earthquake that revealed its entrance, this phenomenal cavern, aged two million years, boasts fascinating geological formations (accentuated by concealed lighting) and an impressive room named ‘Sala of Apotheosis’

Argostoli Kefalonia Avalon travel Sales Rep: Maria. - The guide Maria was very competent and very kind, explaining the island and the history of Argostoli in Italian and English. Lake Drogarati is wonderful for its colors and the quarries of Melissani are very picturesque. Very happy to have participated in this tour.

Great Tour and value for money! - Amazing places to visit. 100% worth the money and great photo opportunities. Much needed places to eat and drinks after the long steep stairs. Great tour guide and everything on time.

Overall great tour - Big bus ride to caves. Would be nicer to be in a smaller bus. No lines at either the cave and lake. Beautiful places! Guide’s mic was staticky, so hard to understand, but overall great day and sites!

Good trip if you've nothing better to do. - The walk down into the cave was a little slippery, I almost lost it on a very slick area. The cave itself was good but not great, pretty generic. The lake was pretty average, a nice photo or two, but basically a slow paddle around what used to be an underground lake, but it now open to the sky.

Cancelled trip by Viator - Our tour was cancelled the day before which was annoying enough but I’m being bombarded with texts and notifications about the trip before and after it was cancelled. They would like to know how it was . I can’t tell you because you cancelled it!
