Experience TDF With a Calm Soul - My wife and I experienced the Tierra Del Fuego national park on a small group tour with owner/guide Nicholas and his trusty driver Raul. Taking us down scenic trails and alongside lakes that were really the ocean, Nicholas revealed the spirit of this amazing land through stories and history. Within a sheltered cove, we re-fueled with pastries and our choice of coffee, tea or the popular mate. Yes, a taxi driver could transport you to the park and back. But only a local Ushuaian with an obvious love for this land and passion for bringing it to life for his guests could transport your soul as Nicholas did for us. Wonderful outdoor adventure - We had a fantastic time. Nicolas was so passionate and knowledgeable about the flora and fauna in the park that one couldn't help but love it, too! The outing was well planned to avoid crowds, and we even had a wonderful picnic. We did have an early ship departure, so Nico was careful to tailor the tour to our needs. He was warm, caring, and had great communication. Highly recommend.

Excellent private tour out of Ushuaia - Nicholas was an excellent guide. He wanted to show us his favorite spots in Tierra del Fuego and Ushuaia avoiding the tour buses. Perfect for a more intimate, customized experience instead of crowded tours - My husband and I used Alma Calma for a private tour of Tierra del Fuego the day our cruise ship was in port. Nicolas was easy to work with to plan out our tour based on our preferences and get it booked. Before we got to Ushuaia, he sent us directions for where to meet our guide. Our guide, Martín, was right where Nicolas told us to find him. This was by far our best and most memorable tour on our South American cruise. Martín gave us lots of information about Ushuaia and the surrounding area as we drove to Tierra del Fuego National Park. He knew where to start our tour so that we wouldn't be with the crowds that were visiting from the two cruise ships in port. He led us on three different hikes, showing us all the touristy places and the not-so-touristy places in the park. His English was excellent and while he told us so much about the area, he also shared a lot about Argentina in general, a lot about the local culture, and quite a bit about where he has traveled. We shared many stories with him, and we shared many beautiful places with him. There was never a rush to see the sites. After our last short hike and a snack break, Martín took us back to Ushuaia, drove us down the main shopping area and shared his thoughts on the various stores and restaurants, and then dropped us off at a place where we could easily walk around before we headed back to our ship.

PERFECT TOUR! - Our tour was PERFECT! We were on a cruise on Celebrity Equinox. Our schedule shifted multiple times. Nicholas (Owner of the Company) was great about being flexible with the changes in dates. Juan (our driver) and Carla (our guide) showed up at the port to greet us, well before the alloted time. By the end of the tour, I felt like Carla was my BFF! We were on a private tour, just our family. She was responsive and proactive. Asking us if we wanted to drive, or walk. She geared our experience to our family's individual preferences. She was knowledgable about the flora and fauna. She conveyed history about the places we traveled to. She enlightened us with intimate wisdom about occurances the place, only a local would know. While she was a native Argentinian, her English was impeccable. She offered to take photos of our party at multiple sites. While being very conscious of our time, she even squeezed in a little bit more. As our son got down on bended knee to propose to his partner, Carla seemed vested in the experience! Nicholas, Juan and CARLA made this an unforgetable day in all our lives. THANK YOU SO MUCH! Highly recommend - friendly and informative tour! - Booked a private tour for our group of 7. Bottom line - amazing experience. From our booking, the Alma Calma group were extremely communicative. Carla and Juan showed up on time ready to go (~10 minutes before our agreed upon start time of 9am) and were easy to find off our cruise ship. They were immediately warm and friendly Carla was very well informed about the area - beyond the history of the city, she knew all about the regions ecology and its challenges (I.e the negative impact beavers have had on the region, which species were native vs invasive, etc). Her and Juan were also very flexible, offering options between driving or walking certain stretches with accurate estimates of how long a walk would take. Juan drove safely the whole time, and made getting in and out of the van at highlights very easy. I proposed to my girlfriend on this trip and they were extremely accommodating of this additional request as well - with the owner even checking in over text to make sure things went well! 10/10 experience, if we’re ever in the area again we would do another tour with them in a heartbeat!

Worth the walk! - The experience was great! Nicolas was very nice, giving us a lot of important information about Ushuaia and always with environmental concern. Explained about botany, biology, geology, really a very prepared guide.
