Excellent Food and Guide. - Alonso was an excellent guide to the food of Arequipa. Each stop was filled with history, interesting facts, and several funny stories. We were so full by the end of the tour we didn’t even have dinner. Highly recommend!

Avoid this tour. - The worst tour ever. The guide, Alonso, was racist, rude, uncommunicative and unprofessional. From the meeting point we had to walk half an hour to a market. He srode ahead the whole time, not talking to us. When we arrived at the market I complained about thwctour so far and he threw a tantrum and cancelled the tour. Neither the local company nor Viator was willing to give a refund. A complete waste of money. I have never used Viator since.

Scam tour - Turned up on time like everyone else, only to be told the tour was cancelled - this was 5 minutes after the tour should have started and only after I messaged them on Viator. It seems like they are accepting bookings to hold your money, then cancelling last minute. Dont book the tour and waste your afternoon. However, there is a great restaurant next door to the start point called zigzag where you can do your own mini tasting if you insist on booking this.

Tour was canceled last second - Tour was canceled last second and I was not even advised by the tour company. I only found out when I received an email from TripAdvisor saying the tour company had requested a refund

No Call, No Show - Tour was a no-call no-show. Nobody came and I wasn't made aware why. Tried contacting the tour operator but to no avail. Really disappointing

IT’S A SCAM!!! - We booked our tour for today (21sept). We arrived 10 min earlier, waited for 30 minutes and nobody arrived. We tried to call all the Numbers, but the just Don’t exist and the number on their Instagram húng up on me. I hope we get our money back. We looked the reviews here, and the were good, until this month.

Unreliable - Our tour was cancelled due to a “personal inconvenience” of the guide that morning. Tough to know if a personal inconvenience was a family emergency (which is completely understandable) or if he just woke up and didn’t feel like it. However, the frustrating part is that we were not informed that the tour wasn’t happening. We waited a half hour and had to figure out how to contact the host. We should have been told in advance so we could have planned our day accordingly as the decision was apparently made that morning.

Scam - avoid avoid!Dont believe the reviews. - We turned up at the designated place 10 minutes early and waited until 20 minutes after the tour was due to start. We had seen the warnings of other reviews but stupidly also saw the many positive one and thought it would be fine. The booking went fine and we got clear confirmation emails so I thought it would be ok. It wasn’t - no one came. We tried to contact the company on the number provided - it says to contact via WhatsApp and provides a number. When we tried to do this it said the number given was not on WhatsApp. We tried to phone the number and it was not recognised. I emailed via the email address that had sent us the confirmation . No reply. We had no means of contacting them or getting our money back €138 We spoke the Peru tourist board - they had never heard of the tour. They tried to contact him by phone and were also unsuccessful. We filled in a form to inform other tourists that this is a scam so it can be logged with the Peruvian tourist board. We luckily paid by PayPal who have logged the complaint and refunded us our money. We have not heard a single message or anything from the company. I guess all the good reviews and photos are fake too. I hope this helps others avoid what we have experienced.

Food trip without food or guide - We were met in the square by Alonso who spoke to us then asked us to follow, he raced off at least 10m infront pausing occasionally for us to catch up. One of the party needed the toilet and he was most upset but reluctantly led us to one. We had been walking 25mins and indicated we were hungry and wanted to eat. He said he couldn't work like this and had to follow his script which entailed a further 30min in the market without eating. He then cancelled the tour saying he couldn't work like this (as we wanted to eat) and promised a full refund which was not honoured, 30 minutes walk no food $300 what a con. Do not book this trip.
