• Cueva del Indio - Upon reaching Arecibo, we will climb the renowned 7 arches, offering some of the most stunning views on the entire island, and explore the Taino Cave. The cave entrance can be challenging, but with our expert guidance, those in good shape will manage it. Inside, you’ll feel as if you’ve been transported back in time. We will discover over 100 Taino petroglyphs (stone writings/drawings) that are remarkably well-preserved despite their age. • Charco Azul Canyon - Known as the hidden, more beautiful cousin of El Yunque, Charco Azul Canyon offers all the breathtaking scenery, fun, and adventure of the El Yunque Rainforest without the crowds. This is truly a local treasure. We will hike down into the Canyon, crossing the river to explore two caves. The caves are fascinating; one allows us to swim through, while the other features a waterfall where we can cool off. The hike through the canyon is incredibly enjoyable, offering just the right amount of challenge and stunning beauty. After exiting the Canyon and Caves, we will visit what locals call Charco Azul: a natural pool of fresh, turquoise-blue water. Here, we can swim, hike up some rocks, and try cliff jumping (optional, of course). There are various jumps to suit all levels of bravery.
