Shino-san Made Yanaka Unforgettable - I had the pleasure of taking the Yanaka tour in Tokyo with my mom and sister, and it was an unforgettable experience. Our guide Shino-san was absolutely fantastic - friendly, funny and knowledgable. Shino-san was able to answer all our questions with ease and even telling extra information on the side. What really stood out was her storytelling; she brought the town Yanaka to life in such an engaging way while using humor, making it a perfect “non tourist tour guided” vibe. More like a friend showing you around the good spots in Tokyo!. Highly recommend, thanks again Shino-san!

History and Local Flavour with a Knowledgeable, Caring Guide! - Shino was the best tour guide I had ever had in Japan. She knows the location very well and was very caring and attentive. Before the tour, she sent me an email asking about my interests and preferences when visiting Yanaka. Because I am interested in history, she took me on different routes from the train station to the cemetery, so that I could admire a few old-style wooden houses in the area. The cemetery was old and big. It was reserved for the aristocracy. Shino told me the last Shogun was buried there. Each tomb was constructed like a small house made of gray stone. I thought it would be scary strolling around the cemetery, but it wasn't. In fact, I felt quite peaceful there. It was also fun to try some local food and craft beer. The food was all good. And the best part of the tour was my guide, Shino, who seemed like a friend I had known for a long time. I will definitely take her other tours next time I am in Tokyo.

Amazing snacks and sushi in Yanaka - Amazing tour! This is the second food tour I’ve done with Shino and they’ve both been excellent. Great snacks at multiple stops, and amazing sushi for lunch. Shino knows the locations very well and she is a friendly and engaging tour guide. I would go on any tour she gives!
