This guided kayak tour takes you into a pristine environment reminiscent of the era when the Timucuan tribes inhabited the area. Your guide will navigate you through crystal-clear waters that meander past sand pine scrub, lush jungle-like vegetation, and tranquil pine flatwoods. As you paddle, watch for turtles basking on logs, playful otters gliding through the water, white-tailed deer, and occasionally a distant black bear. The area is teeming with birds—egrets, herons, and perhaps even a barred owl or bald eagle soaring above. This is an out-and-back adventure: you’ll paddle upstream first, ducking under low-hanging branches and navigating gentle turns. Along the way, there will be opportunities to swim in the refreshingly cool, crystal-clear spring. Then, enjoy a leisurely drift back downstream with the current, taking in the sights and sounds of the old Florida wilderness.

Great experience! - Wonderfull time. Seen couple alligators, birds and turtles. Jimi was great. Highly recommend this trip. Parking was challenging though.

Floating on crystal clear water - Our guide Sue has not given us only a wonderful kayaking tour on the Emerald River, she gave us a deep inside of the geology, the vegetation, and of the animals, even a historical background of this part of Florida. A must see and when you come, come in the morning. Great job Sue!

Kayaking - We had a great trip out! Jimi had lots of knowledge of the environment as we kayaked through. He was great with our daughter and told her lots of facts and made time for her to swim and jump in.

A must for nature lovers ☺️ - A must for all nature and Florida lovers! Due to the recommendation we put the tour in the morning and were lucky and could see many different animals. Alligators, turtles, birds and snakes. Our tour guide Astrid explained a lot and told us what was great. It's a whole other world away from the hustle and bustle of Orlando. 1000% a recommendation!

Florida Master Naturalist and wilderness guide with Venture Outdoors - We had an absolutely wonderful time kayaking today, and it truly was one of the best experiences of my life. Our guide, Jimi, was exceptional—so friendly and knowledgeable, sharing fascinating insights about nature. We felt completely safe and comfortable throughout the experience. Traveling as a group of eight with kids can be challenging, but everything was so well organized, and the staff was incredibly supportive and attentive. Beyond amazing - I'm going to try to put into words what our experience was like. Words fall short for the trip and for the guide Sue. Both of us had no kayaking experience but Sue gave super good explanations and took charge when needed. She shared so much knowledge with us about the environment and the animals that live in it, you noticed that she was very experienced and has passion for her profession. We have seen alligators, raccoons and beautiful birds. We want to thank Sue very much for the wonderful experience and guidance!

Brilliant and Beautiful - The highlight of our holiday was our kayak down Emerald Cut with Astrid. She was so knowledgeable and interesting to chat with about the eco system, wildlife etc. We spotted lots of alligators, turtles, fish and birdlife with the help of her expert eye. She was brilliant at including everyone and gave great advice on kayaking technique. Can’t recommend the tour highly enough and if we’re lucky enough to come back it’ll be at the top of our list of things to do. Thanks Astrid !

Wonderful experience - I had Jimi as my tour guide. It was an absolutely amazing journey! Jimi is patient, helpful, and knowledgeable. He told us many fun facts and things regarding wild life here along the journey. We saw alligators, birds, snakes, turtles etc in the journey. If u don't have a lot paddling experience before, don't worry. Jimi is there to help, and he will teach u the skills! I would def go for kayak here again in the future!
