• Porta Praetoria - The group will gather at the square where Porta Praetoria stands, a significant Roman site and the starting point of the walking tour. From this location, the exploration of the region’s rich culinary traditions will commence, as participants wander through the historic streets of Aosta.
• Mura di Aosta - As the group heads to the first stop, they will walk alongside the ancient city walls, a striking reminder of Aosta’s historical roots. The first tasting will feature a board of cold cuts paired with a glass of local wine, highlighting a selection of traditional cured meats that embody the authentic flavors of the Aosta Valley.
• Piazza Emile Chanoux - Moving through Piazza Émile Chanoux, the group will arrive at the second stop for a cheese tasting. Here, participants will enjoy a variety of local cheeses, a true highlight of the region’s mountain cuisine, crafted using traditional alpine methods.
• Croce Di Calvino (o Croix-de-ville) - Crossing Via Croix de Ville and passing the historic City Cross, the group will reach the heart of the tour: the traditional first dish. Participants will savor a classic local recipe, offering a comforting taste of Aosta’s culinary heritage.
• Torre del Lebbroso - To conclude the food tour, participants will enjoy a coffee served with tegole biscuits, the region’s iconic almond biscuits, providing a sweet and satisfying end to the culinary journey through Aosta.
