- Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi - The Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi is a revered fig tree located in the Mahamewna Gardens, Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka. It is believed to be the southern branch of the historic Sri Maha Bodhi at Buddha Gaya in India, under which Lord Buddha achieved Enlightenment.
- Ruwanwelisaya - The Ruwanwelisaya is a stupa and a hemispherical structure housing relics in Sri Lanka, held sacred by many Buddhists worldwide.
- Lovamahapaya - Known as the Brazen Palace, Lovamahapaya is a 2000-year-old palace built by King Dutugemunu in the 2nd century B.C. It featured 1600 stone columns supporting nine stories, reaching 150 feet in height and 400 feet in length on each side, with 1000 rooms. It earned the name Brazen Place due to the bronze tiles used on its roof.
- Kala Wewa - This reservoir was constructed by King Dhathusena, who reigned from 454 to 473 CE in the 5th century. During 429 to 455 AD, Tamil invaders from South India ruled the northern part of the country. King Dhathusena defeated these invaders, unified the nation, and aimed to restore the irrigation system by building several tanks and canals around the kingdom of Anuradhapura. After completing Kala Wewa, the king constructed another tank called Balalu Wewa nearby and linked the two, creating the largest tank in Sri Lanka.
- Abhayagiri Museum - The museum houses a remarkable collection of artifacts from the Anuradhapura era, including Buddha statues from Mahavihara, ancient coins, jewelry, and porcelain items.
